IPEB results returned, should I ask for VA reconsideration (need advice soon!)

how did all this go. you should at least be 40% and because you go to TDRL does not mean you are out of the woods. I was 40% for Type 1 Diabetes and fought long and hard to maintain that. If you would like to know more let me know.

    Type 1 Diabetes

I went through the MEB in the Navy and was given 40% and TDRL.....on my last eval on TDRL I was downgraded to 20%. I fought the results because I clearly met the 40% criteria in a formal PEB. Let me know what specific questions I can answer for you and help you out with. You clearly meet the 40%...

I was wandering what you did, if anything, with your case for Type 1 Diabetes? Did you send in a rebuttal? Myself and a Marine Captain are taking our cases and before some high ranking officials to present them what is wrong with TDRL and how Type 1s are being screwed from receiving 40%. Any...

    Promotion before getting out

I got out in 2004 and went on TDRL. I was eventually (thanks to Michael Parker's outstanding work) put on PDRL for Type 1 Diabetes. As I have been reading about issues with peoples promotions before getting out an old thorn in the side came to mind. It has always bothered me that I worked my...

found unfit for duty at ft. polk, here i go.

Thank you for your duty. I am not sure about what advice to give you for your particular case, but I do know that the best advice to give when fighting the system to get what you deserve is fight like hell and don't give up. There are a lot of great people on this board that will help you a...

    TDRL

The statements you made Jason regarding not getting the proper care on TDRL are spot on. If you are on TDRL make sure you are educated. After I was put on TDRL and left service I was not assigned a PEBLO and had no one to answer my questions. At my second evaluation, the doctor I saw at Camp...

    Asthma Question?

If you are put on TDRL they will have you on their no longer than 5 years. If you are on their for 5 years and your condition stays the same you are put on PDRL. If the condition progresses then you get re-evaluated and given a new % rating. If you get better your % goes down and you are given...

    Diabetes

I was diagnosed with Type 1 and they told me my career was over. No way to stay in since having insulin was crucial in order to live. Since I was not deployable, I was put on TDRL for 3-4 years and then fought for my FPEB in DC for almost 6 months. In the end I was retired at 40%. What happened...

    AF MEB Initiated today!

From what I understand, the VA rates you on all conditions combined. This could lead to a total of 50, 60, 70.....% combined. The AF would only rate you on the condition that you are found unfit for, not all conditions combined. For instance, I was found 40% for by the Navy and then 70% by the...
