I agree, get a second or third opinion on this, my wife applied for this and did everything online, all the tests everything. then they visit the home, then shortly thereafter you receive the stipend. You have already been through a MEB so there is no need to go through it again.
I hope this helps, I just went through the process there at Drum, I am now retired for 4 months now.

Read the very first paragraph, it states that if the shutdown continues through October the VA is in jeoprody
Of losing funding in some areas like pensions, initial claims, reconsiderations, ect.
no, but after it is completed and everything is signed and sent up to be assessed and final ratings done, that wont happen. there's no tellin how long this shutdown will be
On FOX NEWS 10/02/2013 during morning show, they had a speaker there from the VA, and yes, there will be no more
movement on cases for final ratings, that is until this ridiculous shut down ends, but if you already have final ratings, you will still get paid, as for now anyway.
I just left Ft drum NY, in April I had allot of leave stored up, but anyway my point is my Home of record was Memphis TN. And I wanted to go to Tucson Az. and the Army let me, and Paid for all of it.
My suggestion would be to go tell your 1SG they have to have a way out. and you have a family. I will be praying for you and you family. And maybe you can submit a fom for reimbursement like Warrior644 said
Hey Bro, Warrior644, I know you have been waiting for a long time to get what is rightfully yours. I heard on FOX NEWS this morning, that until the Government shut down is over, no one will be getting their finalized ratings from the VA. That includes pending claims to be finalized, or even if...
The Army will only pay travel distance, and whoever is going, but no Per Diem. It's not like you would get paid for a regular PCS move. Go to transportation, or travel, and ask what they will cover so you will know how to plan.
In my evaluation, is it possible that I will be found fit for duty? I received a knee replacement, and feel great, with almost full motion. My PTSD is still as bad as it's always been, but , that will probably never change.
I officially retired 26 July 2013. Have not received any pay since mid July. How long will I have to wait till I get my final pay, and when will VA pay kick in?
