    Crsc help

By law your CRSC backpay will only go back 6 years at most, up to your military retirement date. Basically, you can collect up to 6 years of backpay for CRSC, but if it's been less than 6 years since your retirement date, the backpay will only cover you up to that retirement date. If it's been...

    PDRL approved

Hi erikeckert, I welcome a mod to fact check this if I give bad info, but generally speaking you cannot receive DOD & VA disability payments at the same time. If one of your disabling conditions was as a result of combat, or combat-related training exercises, you MAY qualify for CRSC in the...

    My CRSC Timeline.

I submitted March 28th of this year, They sent me an email acknowledging it on April 4th. I called the hotline last month, and was told CRSC claims are currently averaging 90 business days to process (in my case, I should have an answer by August 1st 2023) Hope this was helpful.

Recently diagnosed with BP II (MED Board) what to expect next?

Jordanacosta31 I'm not sure of your branch, but you will begin by being assigned a case manager, who will give you a form for Your MH provider to fill out if they feel you meet retention standards, based on the DSM-5 (This form doesn't have a DD number that I know of, it's basically a letter of...

    JBLM DA199

My first question would be do you agree with the findings? Did you agree with the NARSUM? If you did, you probably don't have anything to worry about. Second, How long ago did you sign your DA199? If you agree with the findings, again, you probably don't have much to worry about. If you have...

    VA proposed ratings appeal

Do you have a PEBLO assigned? Do you have an MSC for the VA assigned? You should contact them right away, to make sure they know something is up. After you talk to them, you should probably upload any relevant medical evidence the VA says is missing to VA.GOV under your claim. You could also...

PDRL DoD vs VA pay question

@RonG Thanks for the response, I was wondering what I was missing, and your post cleared it all up. Even though I've already gone through a medboard, I am still interested in learning as much as I can about the process; I appreciate the help.

PDRL DoD vs VA pay question

Without knowing what you make for DOD and what you make on the VA side, it's hard to say. The spreadsheet in the link I posted will probably be able to help you. Note, that if you're NOT eligible for either CRSC or CRDP, that means you're only allowed to collect either your DOD comp pay or...

PEB rating 0% for Graves Disease, but we are pushing for PTSD - advice?

I would like to add, because it doesn't look like it's been mentioned, if they are planning to retire him with the assumption that he has 7200 points or more, he should talk to somebody about that ASAP if he only actually has 3955 points. if the board wrongly thinks he's eligible for a full 20...

MEB & Current VA Disability Rating

I am sorry to hear the VA C&P examiners left you in more pain than when you went in during your last C&P exams. Have you filed a complaint with the IG for VA or the Patient Advocate at your local VA? Examiners hurting Veterans during exams should face repurcussions. There's 2 ways to go through...

MEB & Current VA Disability Rating

Hey jwright, I'm a 20 year reservist with 8 years AD (100% P&T) that just went through new C&P exams for my rating, and like Provis said there is very little chance your rating will change unless you've significantly improved. You will have new C&P exams, and while they can potentially lead to...

For sure, I didn't see much chance of my rating changing, although paranoia did set in once or twice. About the only thing I see that would cause any rating to change (IDES or not) is if you stop getting care, since they can argue that you got better now, and don't need the rating. You did hit...
