Did your Peblo give you an estimated timeline from time PEB has it until an unfit decision? My wife was told 6-8 weeks. Just curious since the PEB board for Reserves is a bit different because they need one person on it to be a Reservist.

They told me the average from start to finish was 9 months for reservists when I first started the MEB.

What did you consider starting MEB? I was referred 28FEB22 and after looking into and getting ahold of ARMMC myself, was sent an initial email outlining who my Nurse Case Manager was on March 17. I have yet to hear from him. Also Army Reserves

I would say once you get contact from your PEBLO. There is stuff behind the curtain like getting a P3 initiated and signed by providers and your PHA being up to date, etc that can take place prior to the PEBLO calling as well.

Oh ok. I already have a P3 signed by both and updated PHA. I was just digging a little into the timeline

I got a 100% rating decision from the VA around a year and a half ago, around the same time my psych changed my medicine. Not sure which kicked it off but I assume it was the medication change.

Anyway, 2 months after getting the 100% rating and change in meds, I got contacted by a nurse saying I had a temporary profile, and they were considering making it a permanent profile, as well as medboarding me. Basically my whole experience in a nutshell up to now.

27 Mar - VA ratings received, 100% P&T

should mention I'm in IDES, and already P&T before this, so a bit relieved they didn't reduce me. Wanted to do LDES, but didn't have a means to do it since "concern about getting reduced" wasn't a good enough reason; but I've been getting regular psych treatment for years now, so in the end it worked itself out.

Glad to hear the feedback on choosing IDES over LDES. I have yet to hear a bad outcome from someone choosing IDES over LDES even if they have a VA rating already. You have more protections with IDES and the chances are slim to none on rating being lower. They can already see your current ratings and records so I don't know why people worry so much about that. If anything its makes it easy for the VA to come to exact same conclusion with the same rating. LDES sounds safer because the VA rating isn't involved but in reality that is much scarier since there is less recourse to fix things in LDES.

For sure, I didn't see much chance of my rating changing, although paranoia did set in once or twice.
About the only thing I see that would cause any rating to change (IDES or not) is if you stop getting care, since they can argue that you got better now, and don't need the rating.
You did hit the nail on the head though, as long as you still need treatment, your getting reduced is just not likely to happen.
