A marine that had his package come back from the VA on December 15, got his findings yesterday. Looks like they're starting to get findings out hopefully!
This guy started in September but his ratings were sent back to the PEB on December 15th. I was reading through some manual and the VA on has 15 days to start and finish your ratings. I looked at my timeline and it was exactly 15 days from start to finish at the VA. The longest wait at this point is "Getting our DOD rating completed and findings sent back to us."
I don't list the whole MEB and LIMDU process because honestly is the timeline that actually matters and counts to anyone is the day your package gets mailed to the PEB to the day that the PEB gives your PEBLO your findings.
Congrats, the VA seems to be moving very fast. Hopefully the DoD will ramp up and you won't have to wait as long as some of us (2 months)
to recieve findings post VA.
Thank you. How long way the wait for VA ratings after the unfit. We were told since my husband has a lot of issues and complex issues it may take longer.
The 120 days is starts when the package is mailed off. Unofficial unfit is taking 2-3 months and official unfit is taking the full 120 days lately because the update of the ICD codes to ICD 10 screwed up the VA systems. Now the VA is pumping out ratings for everyone but the PEB is getting bottle necked with QA Post VA is what it being called. Meaning they are returning the official unfit anywhere from 120-140 days. I am sure the PEB will catch up within the next month or so and people wills start seeing official unfits coming back within 70-90 days just like they were doing before the ICD codes had changed.
My PEBLO emailed me saying that I should hopefully be notified this week. Hopefully his statement is true but im not going to hold my breath on it till I get the phone call.
my peblo also told me to expect something this Friday. perhaps these peblo have a secret society and sit at a round table with cigars and dimmed lights while cackling.
