You disappoint me from making that statement, your anger is misdirected and taking it out on others is not the way to do it. You could have vented your disappointment in a better fashion at your ratings and how you think your were wronged and we will help you. Stating things like this really affects everyone here that do suffer from it, yes I concur that there may be some fakers, but not as many as you think.
That's fine, I'm not looking for your approval.
I didn't say that all PTSD cases are fakers. I'm sure the majority of folks who claim PTSD have legitimate issues. The past 12 years of war have been terrible and people react differently to different situations. I am very thankful that I am not affected and don't wish those issues on anyone.
But you can't deny that there are a number of people who either downright fake their issues or embelish to make their claims better. And the doctors and lawyers encourage it. My driver from my last OEF deployment was a giant bitch. Never saw any combat, never left the wire only to drive to KAF or the FOB. The 1SG tried to move him to the line (you know, where infantrymen are supposed to be) and he bitched. So they sent him to work on the FOB and he went straight to mental health and was sent home. He got himself a profile once he got back that said he could only work 4 hours a day. He got 60% Army and 100% VA. And I know he isn't the only one. So am I a little bitter? Yes.
I'm not sure how it affects anyone who suffers from PTSD to call out fakers. Maybe it hits a little too close to home? If anything, you should be pissed that people are exploiting a real issue that takes away from the severity of your own case.
