You disappoint me from making that statement, your anger is misdirected and taking it out on others is not the way to do it. You could have vented your disappointment in a better fashion at your ratings and how you think your were wronged and we will help you. Stating things like this really affects everyone here that do suffer from it, yes I concur that there may be some fakers, but not as many as you think.

That's fine, I'm not looking for your approval.

I didn't say that all PTSD cases are fakers. I'm sure the majority of folks who claim PTSD have legitimate issues. The past 12 years of war have been terrible and people react differently to different situations. I am very thankful that I am not affected and don't wish those issues on anyone.

But you can't deny that there are a number of people who either downright fake their issues or embelish to make their claims better. And the doctors and lawyers encourage it. My driver from my last OEF deployment was a giant bitch. Never saw any combat, never left the wire only to drive to KAF or the FOB. The 1SG tried to move him to the line (you know, where infantrymen are supposed to be) and he bitched. So they sent him to work on the FOB and he went straight to mental health and was sent home. He got himself a profile once he got back that said he could only work 4 hours a day. He got 60% Army and 100% VA. And I know he isn't the only one. So am I a little bitter? Yes.

I'm not sure how it affects anyone who suffers from PTSD to call out fakers. Maybe it hits a little too close to home? If anything, you should be pissed that people are exploiting a real issue that takes away from the severity of your own case.

Seattle didn't slow down at all last week--they processed about 1000 claims like usual.

I understand your view and I even called out a few that I knew were fakers. Even provided pictures of people dancing to the CoC claiming that they had so bad of issues walking and using canes and such. They did not get the MEB they were looking for and instead got a deserving separation without benefits. Implying I am a faker, thank you for that... You have my respect for not trying to fake or candy-coat your claims, as you can see in my statement in my signature block I give the same advice. Have a safe and Merry Christmas and I hope all goes well for you in the coming new year.

So now I'm back to "Gathering Evidence" with "Requesting Separation Documents" at the bottom. I know that my ratings are done. It's just too bad it's the holidays because I'm sure that will delay it. Hopefully someone is at least working half days at the PEB the next two weeks.

Has anyone had any success with getting your DAV rep or another agency to actually tell you what your ratings are before you get your 199?

My MSC said he will tell me what my ratings are when they come in (if they ever do). He also said that they have stopped telling Soldiers their ratings prior to the 199 because sometimes the PEB changes the ratings for a smaller percentage and it has caused issues in the past.

I am just wondering why I have not met 90% of the army averages. I'm behind schedule and have been with everything besides my PEBLO counseling/brief and P3 initiation. The ipeb took 3 months in itself. I am soo over it.

Stopped by my PEBLO's office this morning to chat and found out my ratings had officially been sent to the PEB last Friday. He wasn't going to tell me them but I saw them on his computer screen so he had to.

10% Army, 30% VA. Guess I should have faked PTSD like half of the people in the MEB.

Well, at least, congratulations on the recent visual receipt of your DoD and DoVA proposed ratings!

To that extent, if the IPEB doesn't agree with the DoVA D-RAS' proposed rating associated with your PEB-referred unfitting condition(s) then they could request a rating reconsideration for potentially an increased DoD proposed rating prior to the adjudication and issue of their findings. ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I sincerely apologize for implying you are a faker. That was wrong of me. Just some frustration boiling over.

Anyone else have there IDES dashboard saying no open case all of a sudden??

Yeah mine is like that as well.

<-- Was informed yesterday that I am on the TransProc List....Last day is 20 Mar 2014.
I had to fight for my retirement after being offered severance; I won and I get CRDP...
People, people, Good People. Read the laws, 99% easy to understand. What does Warrior64 say every time?

I have too many leave days for 20 March...
Can a "Not Later Than" date be pushed to the right to allow me to take all my leave or will I have to lose days?
Maybe they'll figure out how to pay me for those days? I have already sold 60...
85 days of leave means my leave will have to start Thursday after Christmas...nope. can't do that. Will be on orders to go to Campbell to clear. I guess I'll lose some days. It's worth it. But really, two things: Can the date be moved? and
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Damn, they really do want me gone!! LOL
I got an email yesterday, list of stuff to scan and send back. Got it together and sent it in at 1520. At 1640 I got a call from them. Dude was putting my info in and prepping my orders, told me to be there Friday when they open, said he would help me skip through the N/A stuff since I'm not stationed at Campbell and I should be done, out, and gone by the afternoon. Thought I'd share my Christmas story.

Indeed, ditto; well at least it's not just me! :(

I don't know how much longer I'll be active on or in this forum, but I'd like throw out a direct and public thank you to Warrior64.
Sir, I have used your quoted comment, referred to it, and embellished it (just a bit). It is what it is. I have always believed knowledge is power and have often spent more time researching than accomplishing a task. The only knowledge that I have, that I also have no use for, is Algebra. I'm 45 years old and exams is the only place I have ever used it...LOL
Geometry I use every day. On the other hand, I have spent many hours studying law, learning how to chase reference rabbits, and how protect my career. For that I am glad. Having that knowledge saved me and I helped several other service members. I didn't do anything for them except show them where the laws are let them gain their own knowledge.

Thanks, W64

First, congratulations on receipt of your military disability retirement date from TRANSPOC II.

Indeed, from an U.S. Army perspective, the USAPDA is the approval authority to extend your last day beyond 20 March 2014 to accommodate the excess military leave beyond 60 days. You will need to submit a request for an exception to their policy and hope for the best!

To that extent, at least from the current military installation which I am stationed, the tend is that the USAPDA will not approve any request extensions for military leave use. In essence, any military leave beyond 60 days shall be ultimately lost if the military service member have not already sold up to 60 days within a military career.

In your particular case, since you self-reported that up to 60 days of military leave was previously sold by to the U.S. military, you shall potentially lose 25 military leave days unfortunately. The good news is that you have already come to terms with the potential lost of military leave days; good for you!

Bottom line is that your 20 March 2014 military disability retirement date can be extended to the right if the approval authority grants permission.

*** MERRY CHRISTMAS! ***

Indeed, you are most welcome; truly appreciate the very kind words of support too!

In my opinion, it's always very good to know that the sound insightful information provided via the PEB Forum is potentially helping military service members/military veterans/military spouses/military associates/etc achieve their military disability compensation goals; a very good deal! :D

Thus, as such, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

This goes along with a question that I had about leave. I currently have 76 leave days. I've never sold any back in my career, so am I able to take some leave and sell what I can't use? Thanks in advance. And Merry Christmas to everyone.
