So I got a call from my PEBLO yesterday and he said that the memo was done and they would be sending it fedex today, I asked what the outcome of the status was and he told me it had been elevated to chronic. My question is... I've already been diagnosed with severe PTSD, will this chronic adjustment disorder add anything to my rating? I've been told that only the most severe mental health condition gets the rating. Any ideas?

We plug that in ourselves. The information under that tab is put in by your PEBLO. If you have a good PEBLO, it will be old news to you. I will put under PEBLO review at the beginning until I have my first meeting with a soldier. Sometimes, it is a catchall when the other drop down choices don't have something more descriptive.
The short answer is it isn't going to change anything if you have a PTSD diagnosis. It isn't the most severe, it is the VA rating, period. The only thing that comes from the MTF is does it meet or fail retention standards, then the PEB determines whether it is unfitting or not.
Chronic isn't an elevation, it just means you've had it longer than 6 months. Was your PTSD determined to be unfitting from the PEB?
I signed my Memo 2 weeks ago and still have not receive my DA199, I did receive my Ratings from VA at my house my PEBLO said that was not suppose to happened but it did. I will update whenever I receive my DA199 so you guys have an idea on the timeline after signing the Memo

I spoke to my PEBLO (JBLM) today. He said he got my DA Form 199 yesterday, he was working on it today, and he would like to see me tomorrow at 0900 for review. I signed my NARSUM Addendum on the 2nd of July. I hope this gives all the JBLM Soldiers a little glimmer of hope.

I got my new ratings back this past week. They diagbosed my adjustment disorder as chronic although I have never been hospitalized or anything for it. The Army rating went up from 30% to 70% because they took the 50% rating from the VA and added it to my pre-existing 30%. Only problem is now instead of PDRL I'm now being put on TDRL. Signed my ratings on Wednesday last week. Hopefully I'll get my orders soon. All I was waiting for was orders when this whole ordeal started. After all this I'd much rather take my previous 30% and just be done with this cluster-f $#@.

Just signed my memo today finally!!!! Now just waiting for the 199 and hopefully I"ll be out of this nightmare soon!

I signed my 199 today, 8 business days after signing my memo! I'm located on fort drum. Things were moving really fast here before this whole debacle with CAD so hopefully the last leg of my journey will be smooth and fast.

was CAD the only thing you had? I am At fort drum as well Going through for CAD. I am waiting for Mental Eval from VA and from other people i been hearing that its very retainable to stay in the army for CAD. got me worried.
How does this work if another medical problem has kept you from drilling and returning to work? I am on INCAP and just got a memo for chronic adjustment disorder with anxiety and depressed mood. I have not drilled or return to previous employment due to a spinal fusion that didn't take to well. Now this memo states that "he has not required persistent or recurrent hospitalization, symptoms do not interfere with duty performance...."
How do they know? I have not drilled or worked since 2010 because of the permanent profile and VA neurosurgeons restrictions. Take ambien and trazadone every night due to insomnia.
I have not signed the form, I also forwarded it to my legal rep at Fort Gordon.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

The reg is very black and white. At some point someone is going to take the DoD to court over this. You could argue the diagnosis itself is incorrect, that it is not adjustment disorder at all but a major depressive disorder or PTSD, etc. Or, you could argue that your adjustment disorder is so severe that you should have a permanent 3 code and restriction from military training, weapons, etc. so essentially a "protected environment." My worry is that doing so could jeopardize your 2nd Amendment rights, so be very careful considering the goofy shit going on with all of that right now. I think Jason or another legal eagle may have their own ideas.
So in case you all missed it. We are officially on furlough now. Four day work weeks. The good news is that the PEB is not furloughed and neither is the VA.

No, CAD was one of several conditions that I clamed. It was found "fitting for duty" and rated at 10% from the V.A. Read through the posts in this topic by PEBLO11, he has gone into great detail describing that the PEB considers unfit for duty in regards to CAD.
I personally didn't claim CAD on my NARSUM but after my V.A. metal health evaluation they decided to give me a rating, much to my surprise.
Well I'm still waiting on my memo I've now been waiting 3.5 weeks to get a memo written so yesterday I got a little ill and called the peblo which gave me the name of the doc so I called the doc who basically told me that NEW NARSOM's are going to come first then the CAD issues afterwards.........I was like wtf people are SUPPOSE to be working on the backup but I'll be damned if there aint some $%^whole that is doing whatever the hell they want!!!!! The congressman's office called as well and said that she received a letter from DOA and that they are trying to find the problem and that the next info we here will be a definite time line..... still wtf is the hold up? it take 2 mins to write a memo!!!
You're right, my memo may have taken all of 10 minutes to write and consists of about 150 words. Keep calling the doc that told you that CAD people are at the back of the line, get his full name, and rank too if he's military. If it were me, I'd report him to my chain of command, ombudsman, DAV rep, and I'd tell him that you're including his name in a congressional inquiry. We've been through enough at this point, I'm pulling out all the stops.
