I am not promotable...I've been a SSG for just underut 3 years now. However, someone told me a new MILPER message came out stating that TIS and TIG requirements will be waived if being medically discharged. Any truthfulness to this?

Question---I am currently a SSG in the Army, in the IDES System. Does this automatic promotion to the next grade apply for me as well? Thanks a lot!

I am in the Army....hmm, MSC...that is the VA Coordinator, correct? I don't even remember who my MSC is, or if I ever had one.

Also, is there anyway/anyone I can contact to see what my proposed ratings were from the VA?

ahh okay, that answers my question exactly...I wasn't aware that PTSD could even be a fitting condition...that is why I was confused as to why some people were saying they were getting 10% and 30%.

Thanks for the reply. That is 50% from the VA or 50% from the Army? I have read that minimum for PTSD is 50% but then I see some people getting 10% and 30% for PTSD..what is that about? also, I looked at a calculated for CRSC on the DFAS website...it looks like it is a small amount of money...

so, if there is a YES next to the number..that means it did incur in a combat zone and is combat related? Does a YES make a difference in ratings? Thanks for the reply.
