Question Regarding PTDY and Trans LV

Hello all,

I hope this is the correct forum!

I will try to make this as simple as possible....

1. I currently have 65 days of Leave accrued
2. My NLT date to be out of the military is 27Aug2013, which is 81 days from today (7June2013)
3. I am PLANNING to start my PTDY/Terminal LV on 28Jun2013

My questions--

1. What do you think the chances are of me getting 20 days of PTDY approved PLUS 41 days of leave(that will put me right at 27Aug2013 as my ETS) , and then sell the other 24 days I did not use? I hope you all understand that question.

2. Let's say my BN CDR says EFF YOU, you aren't getting PTDY since you have so many days accrued. So, when on leave, will I still accrue 2.5 days of leave/month? If so, should I put 70 days accrued on my DA 31 or 65 days accrued?

p.s. I have already talked to my leadership and my S-1--They honestly couldn't give me too much guidance, which is why I am asking you all, the people who have been through all this!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, you still accrue leave while on leave. You can use the amount of leave that you will have by your separation date.

Worst case scenario you use 70 days of your own leave. (That is is they deny PTDY)
Best case scenario, you use 20 days PTDY and sell the excess (If they approve PTDY)
