PTDY/Terminal Leave Question! Somewhat confused!

Hello all,

I hope this is the correct forum!

I will try to make this as simple as possible....

1. I currently have 65 days of Leave accrued
2. My NLT date to be out of the military is 27Aug2013, which is 81 days from today (7June2013)
3. I am PLANNING to start my PTDY/Terminal LV on 28Jun2013

My questions--

1. What do you think the chances are of me getting 20 days of PTDY approved PLUS 41 days of leave(that will put me right at 27Aug2013 as my ETS) , and then sell the other 24 days I did not use? I hope you all understand that question.

2. Let's say my BN CDR says EFF YOU, you aren't getting PTDY since you have so many days accrued. So, when on leave, will I still accrue 2.5 days of leave/month? If so, should I put 70 days accrued on my DA 31 or 65 days accrued?

p.s. I have already talked to my leadership and my S-1--They honestly couldn't give me too much guidance, which is why I am asking you all, the people who have been through all this!

Thanks a lot!

I hope you all understand that question. This all depends on the command, but it is not out of the realm of being reasonable. I ended up using all my leave, the 20 days PTDY and the leave I accrued on leave when I left. I totaled 93 days

2. Let's say my BN CDR says EFF YOU, you aren't getting PTDY since you have so many days accrued. So, when on leave, will I still accrue 2.5 days of leave/month? If so, should I put 70 days accrued on my DA 31 or 65 days accrued? You can add the accrued days on your 31. It just really depends on the command if they approve it or not. Yes your BN can tell you to forget it. Most don't, but some think they are just lucky they have the one last chance to make you miserable.

p.s. I have already talked to my leadership and my S-1--They honestly couldn't give me too much guidance, which is why I am asking you all, the people who have been through all this!

Check your BN leave policy. I am S1 and in my BN anything over 60 days needs to go to the Brigade CDR. I don't see why they would disapprove it. I am going through a MED to and I plan on taking 50 days of leave plus the 20 for PTDY. If they hassle pull the regulation and attach it to your leave form. You are authorize those days, dont let them screw you.
