    Partial Pays equal to 1 day in April, any leave sold back, any other accounting pay like unpaid uniform allowance. YES Retirement Pay is issued on the 1st of every month. (unless you request any emergency pay because of special circumstance or hardship. The do not randomly issue retirement checks;)

    I was Legacy and retired in Sept 2012, But I filed a BDD CLAIM before I my retirement date. My Award Letter came in JAN 2013. A BDD is a completed claim... :cool:

    I believe not, I also believe that the IDES System may have caused a small part of it... but so do the increase in claims from the war effort, VA's antiquated systems and their resistance to change

    Yes you are a "Veteran" The Back Log effects everyone but when they talk about claims more than a year old... they are really talking about Veterans that filed when they either left active duty or returned from a deployment and were reservist or National Guard :cool:
