what did you write to submit evidence for 40% from DoD? would you mind sharing? i have helped a lot of guys with T1D and they all write different things and some are well documented and some are not, some get 40% some do not...it is all over the map.
it sucks that if you take care of yourself you are screwed, if you let the glucose run wild then you end up in the hospital then you are medically retired! guys stick to your story about how diabetes affects everything in your life. Make the case yourself, no one knows you better than yourself...
how did all this go. you should at least be 40% and because you go to TDRL does not mean you are out of the woods. I was 40% for Type 1 Diabetes and fought long and hard to maintain that. If you would like to know more let me know.
I was medically, pdrl, with type 1 diabetes with 40%. if you have insulin dependence, restricted diet, and regulation of strenuous activity then the VASRD says you are 40%.
I went through the MEB in the Navy and was given 40% and TDRL.....on my last eval on TDRL I was downgraded to 20%. I fought the results because I clearly met the 40% criteria in a formal PEB. Let me know what specific questions I can answer for you and help you out with. You clearly meet the 40%...
Brokenload,
Sent you a PM explaining what you need to do. I went through the same situation and came out getting what I should have in the first place: 40% and PDRL.

It has always bothered me that I worked my...
I was an IT2 on board a ship and was diagnosed with Type 1 and eventually found 40% went to TDRL and after a long battle I was found 40% PDRL. The problem I had was proving Restriction of strenuous activities. There were a lot of things that made my blood sugars low but they were not documented...
Thank you for your duty. I am not sure about what advice to give you for your particular case, but I do know that the best advice to give when fighting the system to get what you deserve is fight like hell and don't give up.
There are a lot of great people on this board that will help you a...
