Yeah. that's what the DAV said. He told me I was in limbo waiting on the army. Of course I was confused for awhile because I thought the VA took longer than the Army to make a decision. VA took less than a month to come up with ratings (Apr 24 - 2 May). I been waiting on the army since Jun(that's weird). But I'm not tripping becasue I understand how crazy this process is

The date of my claim on ebenefits is 07/22/2013 (I'm currently in IDES). I received unfit memo around the last week of July/First week of August. Not sure of the exact date. On 09/15/2013 my status changed to Prep for Decision. Then on 09/19/2013, under the update column, it says "evidence requested is past due". What does all this mean? Am I getting close to receiving my ratings, or am I legitimately missing something that might put me in for a long haul?

Mine pooped up saying that when I asked VA said there was evidence they thought they needed a later figured out they didn't. So the can say they need something and then an hour later find out they dont and "evidence requested is past due" will still pop up on Ebenefits.

been waiting 165 days from the start. 6 june was the unfit memo and it has been PREPARATION FOR DECISION since 7 june.
 
Just when I was about to start to lose it E-benefits changed tonight to pending decision approval! Again, its probably coincidence, but DAV got involved last week. Anyway, my e-benefits OCD may have finally paid off.
Might even be home for Christmas!

Congrats Psych Officer. I know how that feels after a long wait. You should probably see it requesting separation documents in the next day or 2. Then itll seem to fly after that point.

Haha grizz I feel like I should. I guess it's easy to get sucked into it considering even though it tells me nothing, it's more than anyone else has told me (locally of course). I really am thankful for this website, I'd be lost without it! :)

the VA has had my packet since 6 march 13..the P3 was issued and eveything started at the end of november12
 
Took 127 days to get proposed ratings. Just waiting on my 199! Hopefully this week. After you sign the 199 how long does it take before you can final out?

Update on awaiting 199. On day 17 since case completed/closed with VA.
7 Sep 2013 - Case closed with VA

(I am holding you to the 17 day thing Warrior644! LOL)
 
Signed my 199 today. I received proposed ratings on sept 20th and signed the 199 today. Seems that was really quick. Was told 35 to 45 days and I will start terminal. With me being stationed oconus will I be authorized 30 days PTDY?

I read a post by you and noticed that you were stationed at ft rich as well, quick question what was your case timeline? Just trying to get an idea of when I should be finished. unfit memo complete 26 Aug
 
It's a case by case basis. From the time I received my unfit letter it took close to 130 days to sign my 199. I have also seen it take 250 days.

I'm currently in the MEB/PEB process (IDES). On Ebenefits it says the VA received everything on August 6th 2013. I was found unfit at the tail end of July 2013. On September 10th 2013 my claim moved to the PREPARATION FOR DECISION Phase. I called the VA 800 number for the first time, and all the guy could tell me was that my claim is in the rating phase. Any ideas of how long until I receive my proposed ratings, and 199?

I'm trying to be patient, but my unit is not making it easy, AT ALL.

I understand you on the unit. Ur the man when you're getting everything done for them but when you end up going through this you become the Taliban. The VA rating portion of the PEB takes between 2-6 months on average (meaning some may take longer but not most). VA recieved my claim 24 Apr 2013 and I still haven't got anything back but that doesn't mean your's will be that way. I've seen people get their 199 before me and my claim went up before them. You should see some movement to Pending Decision Approval within the next few weeks to a month. On this forum you see so many different times so you can't have a solid prediction. There are people on here that have been waiting over 200 day after a unfit(those are extreme cases though). Most people on here has been waited between 90-180 days(+/-) after Narsum going to the PEB before they signed their 199.
