Hey guys and gals, long time lurker, first time poster.
I know we're not supposed to go off of Ebenefits, but I can't help but check it at least once or twice a week, haha. So here's my question. The date of my claim on ebenefits is 07/22/2013 (I'm currently in IDES). I received unfit memo around the last week of July/First week of August. Not sure of the exact date. On 09/15/2013 my status changed to Prep for Decision. Then on 09/19/2013, under the update column, it says "evidence requested is past due". What does all this mean? Am I getting close to receiving my ratings, or am I legitimately missing something that might put me in for a long haul?

Has anyone had their eBenefits not change at all? I mean no estimated completion date, no movement from the first time I logged in. I know everyone says that ebenfits can't be trusted, but I am just curious if anyone else has been waiting on ratings for almost 60 days and seen no movement anywhere. It's stuck on "gathering of evidence"- evidence requested is past due. Thanks in advance.
Does yours show "dependant information" and "home of record,parental consent..etc." in the past due itemes?
That's what mine os showing. I called my MSC, he just said that it's because my process happened too fast and they didnt receive the info on time but that it is nothing to worry about.

It doesn't say anything about my dependants. The evidence it wants is from the Baltimore VAMC. Where I did my C&P exams. The thing is I had not done even 1 of my exams by the time they said the evidence was due. I check ebenifits everyday, mostly because I'm bored, and it has not changed once.

Just a quick questions.. Since my Claim was finalized on the 20th of September should I start to receive my VA disability pay on the 1st of October, or will it be sometime after that? Also, does anyone know of the location where I can obtain a form to fill out my additional dependent information that they magically lost all of the sudden after having it on file for the past 10 months haha?
You can complete the dependent form on ebenefits and also if you recieve retirement pay you will get full retirement and VA pay on the first should be offset since the VA probably won't get you the VA Waiver to DFAS before they issue your retirement pay for this month
Alright that would explain why on one of my award letters it states my compensation amount at $336, which my 1384 DOD retirement plus that would equal my INCORRECT VA rate for now haha. Where exactly is the form located on Ebenefits? I'm looking for it but having a hard time locating it. Thanks for the quick response!
After u click on apply for benefits it should be link that states Add Dependents

It's weird that my stepdaughter stayed on the application but my two biological children just disappeared..
Just wondering - how many of us who check this thread (or the whole board) are at 150+ days waiting on preliminary ratings since the PEB sent your packet to the VA. I'm at 167 myself. Just wondering whether I'm in a big group or small group. Thank for being a great board! Bob
You're not the only one. I just hit 152 days. My ebenefits was at Pending Decision Approval on 2 May then it went back to Review of Evidence on 6 Jun. I never received a unfit memo. I call the DAV they told me that my ratings were done on 2 May and that it's waiting on the army to say fit/unfit and decide what to do with me. (which I know doesn't make sense because they give the unfit before the ratings). Your preliminary ratings are more than likely done. The DAV can really give you a indication of it. IDES works good for some but not for others. But I do know as soldier whoes claim went up at the end of Mar and her reating just came back this past Thursday.
I been I review of evidence since 6 Jun. I was at pending decision approval 2May and it went back. I have been waiting a total of 152 day since my packet went to the PEB
