Oh geez. I am assuming your packet was originally in Seattle and then forwarded to RI? If it has been in RI this whole time, you should have had ratings a long time ago. Either way, I would get a DAV rep and consider a congressional. You really should have been rated by now.

Nope been in RI the whole time. It says Martinez received it 7 July 3013. How do I get a dev rep? My Pueblo keeps telling me there's nothing he can do.
 
Soooo I checked my E Benefits yesterday and it said pending decision approval... ( finally they looked at it) now today it's back at gathering evidence. Which means they are done rating me and sent it back to the PEB! Now, I wonder how they are going to take??? I'm hoping I don't have to appeal anything. I am soooo ready to be DONE! I heard things should start going faster.... How true is this????
 
does it say waitign for sep documents or just back to gathering evidence?
 
when you expand that, does it list any documents it is waiting on? like waiting on sep. docs? if it does not, then its not done yet and they needed something else. or it might be done and they just did not upload it right, or it was never supposed to be moved up.

Really the only time you can be certain, is when it says awaiting separation documents.
 
No it doesn't.... But I called && they said that the VA portion is done & it's been sent back to the medical board (PEB )
 
well then your good.
mine also just moved after ebennies came back up.
 
I figure I got at minimum 3-4 weeks until the AF gets on the ball, if the VA finishes my file this week, that puts me right at my court date for SSDI, hope I can get the ratings before then.
 
I'm giving the Army 3-4 weeks as well. I heard that things will start moving fast again! Which is awesome... But I don't want to get my hopes up. :rolleyes:
 
While everyone has a a right to be impatient, you should all expect to be in the IDES process for at a least a calendar year and the emphasis should be on making sure that your case is properly adjudicated- irrespective of how long it takes. In addition, it is critical to keep up with your medical appointments so that any limitations are continuously being documented should it be necessary to proceed to an FPEB, VA one-time recon or proceed to a VA NOD down the road.

Very sound advice, could not agree more, however the PEBLO's/MSC's etc should be more forthcoming with realistic timetables to folks, they were all happy to send an email out to annouce the backlog was fixed, but nothing official about it occurring in the first place. The process is greatly improved from when I first started as I was almost a legacy DES case, until the docs decided to LIMDU me 4 times because they could not figure out my paperwork. So yes, the system has greatly improved, but the lack of communication at all stages, the lack of oversight at the VA and/or the VA contract doctors conducted C/P exams, etc. still needs cast improvement.

Indeed, very supportive of my stance of never default acceptance to potential injustice; fight then continue to fight some more until expected results are achieved!

Hmm, my entire DoD IDES case file is a definite example in my opinion with 17+ months in the DoD IDES process to date. As such, I shall not be denied all of my opportunities while a participant within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process!

To that extent, there's too much to lose for my family, and so much to gain for my family in well-earned military disability compensation benefits! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
