What now?

It’s different for everyone. You asked me whether to appeal it all or just the MEB portion. To which my reply was the MEB findings if you don’t agree with them. The VA stuff I’d ask for a reconsideration before appealing. When I went through mine 9 years ago it wasn’t integrated with VA like it is now, but I do know VA appeals take forever.

I never got a VA rating, the board only got to the DOD portion and the said i was fit for full. So I never got a rsting form the VA even though i know i would have. So I'd have to appeal the DOD portion

Just appeal so they can do it over. Also they never got to the DOD portion they just made the decision you were fit for duty before it got that far.

If found fit why would you have to start over at the VA again once you get out? Does those claims not stick?
Curious about this as well. If she decides not to appeal can she separate and not have to do VA rating again? Or will she separate and have to file VA claim again?

I can't even find instructions on this.

From what I was told if its within 180 days and you're separating you can tell your VA rep to place the claims on hold.
