Hi there, I finished the last of my VA exams mid December of 2019. I called my PEBLO beginning of this month and she had nothing to report. How long should I expect to be waiting? I went in with generalized anxiety and moderate depression along with a few minor physical injuries. I am supposed to be out October of this year and everyone has told me I should be out by then but still am freaking out about it. Oh, and my VA claim status currently says "gather evidence, review and decision"

Your case will be sent to the PEB, if found UNFIT it will be forwarded to the VA for ratings, back to the PEB for QA then to your PEBLO. If found FIT it was come back to your PEBLO.
My time line:
21 March 2019 sent to PEB
Not sure when it was sent to the VA
12 June back to PEB
26 June i got the results.
Retirement date 27 November.
I opted for a formal board when i got my results back, so my retirement date could of been sooner. Good luck.

My PEBLO has said that seperation/retirement date is typically 30-90 days from the day that the PEB findings are signed/accepted by SVM.

@bellasmom937 can you please post your timeline? Also, does the location of where your stationed matter? I.e. pendleton vs jax etc.

PEBLO told me now its anywhere from 15 days to 1/2 months due to back up. Says now I await FIT or UNFIT decision. End of my contract is in OCT of this year and she assured me that everything will be done way before then. I'm slightly confused about my ratings. I was recommend for med board due to depression / anxiety. The VA doc diagnosed me with failure to adapt (I disagree with) however my normal navy doc who i see weekly wrote against the VA docs diagnosis stating she diagnosed me with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety. So how is this going to factor in with everything? Also when do I find out ratings for my physical injuries I have gotten?
So just to confirm, Lemoore has completed the MEB portion and the PEBLO said it was being sent to the PEB? If that is the case, if you are found FIT, you should find out in 1-2 months and the process will end there. You will not receive any VA ratings. If found UNFIT, then it gets forwarded to VA for ratings, then back to the PEB, then to your PEBLO, and then to you. This process is averaging somewhere around 4 months right now (see my timeline in a post above). Either way, just make sure you are proactive about asking if there have been any updates or movement.
If he/she is found fit they would have to redo all their VA claims, correct?
Sounds like another inefficient bureaucratic policy to me. One finishes all their C&P exams, is found fit, then separates 2-3 months later and has to start all over with the VA. Is this correct?
If found fit why would you have to start over at the VA again once you get out? Does those claims not stick?
Just recieved message from Peblo that my case has been recieved by The PEB. Is it safe to say I may hear my fit/unfit descion and my VA claims soon?
Yes but it can vary in time frame before they send it back to your peblo.
Can anyone tell me? Today I checked my ebenefits and I noticed a change on my "work in process" page. Shows there is now an "active intent to file (compensation)". Does this mean my med board is going thru?

And a CAPT on my board and on finding the listed was "FIT". I'm debating about appealing it cuz like I said I'm expected to start terminal in early November. My husband has a job lined up already and I dont wanna risk them keeping me in longer. My PEBLO said if I appeal it I will have time. But idk I really have no idea what to do
If you’re thinking about appealing just appeal as it’s much harder and time consuming if you try to do such after getting out.
Does that include my VA stuff? Like VA disability? Would I have to do all the exams again?
The Board Items, for the VA Items it’s always best to ask for a reconsideration before appealing as VA appeals take quite some time.
What about the board appeal? I see some many different timelines for it
