What has been the average for orders?

I'm in week six of waiting for my orders. Its been very frustrating but my new job allowed me to change my start date today so now it is slightly less of a hassle. Found out that my package got to pers Monday any idea how long it might take from there?

Oh man that sucks. Somehow I can see myself reaching six weeks or more too. This whole process is ridiculous. I have been flagged for over 3 years and have been officially in this meb/peb stuff since January 2010. I wonder if I will be completed before 2013.

I haven't been on in a while. I got my orders a week ago last friday and I get out a week from today!! only 18 days to separate from the time i got my orders. I am sitting on the floor in my house on my laptop because the movers came today!!. I hope you get your orders soon.

I'm glad to see this thread still alive and kicking!

I got my orders shortly after my last post, I can't remember the date, although I'm sure I could look it up, I do know it was on a Thursday, and believe me when I tell you Friday was my last day at Fort Polk. I managed to squeeze out 68 days of leave and take 20 PTDY all while selling 19 days. It's all on how you sell it, I had transition write me up an informal "leave plan" which stated exactly what we both agreed upon for pay purposes, and days accrued and available. My first line denied my intial request, so I took it to the CO who followed the plan of transition, again this was my plan signed off by transition as, "acceptable" in their eyes. Which in turn was acceptable to everyone up to the Installation CDR, that was only because he acted as my unit BDE CDR, you got to love those little units. I was out-processing while getting things signed and did it so fast it's all a blur now, I'm just glad I didn't miss anything and got the hell out of that place. I am now living the good life in Austin, TX on 6th Street, as a Retired Sergeant doing the college thing.

My main point of this long post is to show you some alternative methods if you hit bumps in the road (and we all hit bumps in the road going through an MEB). And to keep your eye on the prize, because when those orders come it's only a matter of time until you're living the good life too. God bless and take care.

I'll check in when I can, but college life isn't how I remembered it, and it keeps me pretty tied down.

Random question, do you still fall under UCMJ while on terminal leave?

And a rarely known fact....if you are drawing an active duty retirement, you are STILL subject to the UCMJ. (Which is funny, since TPU Reservists who get there 20 year letter and do not draw retirement until 60-62, are not subject to the UCMJ, until they draw retirement...) And there have been a couple of cases (briefed at a JAG meeting) where retirees WERE charged under the UCMJ (although I can imagine it is very uncommon), due to cost and it being a pain in the butt.
