Mine was sent to the PEB on 3 April, PEBLO received it on 25Apr, I signed 28April. I'm Air Force!

I wasn't allowed to request a specific day, They ask how much leave you have, and then AFPC determines your final day. I signed my 356 2 weeks ago, and if I didn't have any leave my last day would have been 28 May, but seeing how 2 weeks has passed, and you still need order, and they have to give you a minimum of 20 days for out processing, I find it highly unlikely.

I got my orders today! Retirement Date 28 May! Final Out 8 May! Been busy all day running around trying to get started on my outprocessing!

Holy crap! So you waited 3 weeks to get your ratings once they got sent back to the PEB? That's insane! I really hope that's not the case with me. I've been waiting 7 days already, so I am really hoping my Peblo calls me in within the next couple days. I know some people that got theirs back within 3 days once their proposed ratings were done and I know others like yourself that have waited a month. From what I am seeing from a lot of people is it is usually taking around 15 days to get the ratings to the Peblo and calling you in. I've had a few friends that just got theirs back and they knew the exact day their proposed ratings were done in and it took them both 15 days to get called in. I really hope mine come in this week or next week. Hopefully I will agree with the ratings I can't afford to fight them right now. I need to get home and start school right away so I can start my chapter 31 VocRehab.

So finally I'm pending decision, however it took some work on my part. My case was forwarded to Providence on 24 Dec 2013, and there it sat in gathering of evidence until yesterday. I had spoken with the VA, PEBLO, MSC and VSO about my case and was told to be patient. Yesterday I called the VA once again, after looking at my case the guy tells me he is going to submit an inquiry directly to Providence and they will have to respond within 12 duty days and state why my case is taking so long. He also said once you bust the 125 day mark while waiting on percentages that you become priority, he said I would have an answer very soon. Well by the time I got to work my ebenefits had changed to pending decision approval and I had received an email in response and this is what it said:

Dear Mr.

This is a response to your IRIS: 140430-xxxxxx inquiry dated April 30, 2014, to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

You have asked for the status of your IDES claim dated October 7, 2013.

A review of your file in our system has disclosed you are currently pending your Proposed Rating. The Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR) working your file was contacted for a status. Per the RVSR your Proposed should be completed and sent to your PEBLO within 2 weeks. Therefore, please allow 2 weeks for your next inquiry.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Thank you for contacting us. If you have questions or need additional help with the information in our reply, please respond to this message or see our contact information below.

Sincerely Yours

I'm really hoping that all of this movement on the VA side with you guys is good news for me. Mine is still pending a rating review according to my PEBLO as of yesterday. Still no changes. Hopefully all works well and you all get the percentages desired.

To top it off real quick my PEBLO called and said that my unofficial ratings are 40%/70%, as far as I'm concerned it's good enough but I was hoping for more, I'll wait to see them but I don't think I want to sit through an appeal. If I wait until I get out and do a reconsideration and they raise my %'s will that also change my DOD %'s?

mine went to pending decision approval on tuesday, i called wed to see if anything was there and no ratings yet..wonder what the indication means..

Wow my status went all the way back to gathering of evidence this evening. ..lmao!!! Wtf is going on..

Just called the VA and my proposed ratings were completed today to be forwarded to PEB..but of course no one is at work right now at 1700 Eastern Time for me to get a sneak peak...lol

Looking around the board I see that the regression to "Gathering of Evidence" usually means they are waiting on a DD-214. It takes a couple weeks for the PEB to process and get the ratings to your PEBLO for you to review. Once your PEBLO knows, you will know as they only have 24 hours to notify and counsel you on your options.

I have an attorney rep I will know tomorrow. .lol

Does someone have the magic number at Providence where I can call to check on the status of my proposed ratings? Peblo has not been particularly helpful. I go to the office in person but the story never changes. Wait, wait, wait.

1-800-827-1000. Press 1, 0, 1..If lady talks at end of last one hang up and call back until guy tells you about call back option.

Just checked tonight after there wasn't a change this morning and my eBenefits status was updated to "Preparing for Decision."

Now for the waiting game!

I am not pending decision approval as of yesterday in the system...who should I be calling and when should I call to try and get ahead of this thing? Or better yet, who could provide the best info?

glad your stuff is moving so fast enjoy that traction! mine is stuck in the mud.

I will mention once again that looking to "average times" is not very meaningful to individual cases. Many cases go much longer than "average." Of course, some cases move quicker. Either way, what really matters to individuals is how fast their own case will progress through the process. Unfortunately, looking to "averages" is not helpful to projecting how fast or slow any one case might move.

I think these threads on timelines are okay as to understanding trends and experiences. However, I think folks should not place much stock in averages or what others see in their timelines as there is wide variability in actual outcomes.

Also, folks should keep in mind that there is not much, or anything, to be done to push cases along quicker.

It is an average of extremes just like life expectancy. Some die on day one and others live to 120. Trying to determine your results based on others is not all that useful.

Mike
