You are quite welcome, indeed!Thankyou, Warrior644 for welcome and info. Very much appreciated.

Welcome to the PEB Forum!Hi! We have applied for the caregiver program here in Atlanta twice and have been denied twice. We are appealing this second time. It seems like some VAs make is so easy to get approved and VAs in bigger cities deny left and right. I was wondering though if someone could tell me the pay for zip code 30062 just in case by the grace of God we do get approved. I have been trying to use the calculator for weeks with no luck. Thank you so much!

Welcome to the PEB Forum!
Indeed, as I often state, ask and you shall receive...
Enter the ZIP code of the geographic location where the Service member currently resides: 30062
For the "Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta GA" area, an approved VA caregiver for "Cobb" county in the location of "Marietta, GA" at a Local Hourly Wage of "$11.18" is...
NOTE the "Disclaimer: These compensation rates are subject to change based on revisions made to Bureau of Labor Statistics wage rates."
- Tier 1 is looking at $486.33 for a monthly stipend amount (e.g., 10 hours of care)
- Tier 2 is looking at $1,215.83 for a monthly stipend amount (e.g., 25 hours of care)
- Tier 3 is looking at $1,945.32 for a monthly stipend amount (e.g., 40 hours of care)
Moreover, please read the article entitled Hobbled VA Caregiver Program Dims Changes of Expansion at URL http://www.pebforum.com/site/threads/hobbled-va-caregiver-program-dims-change-of-expansion.24037/ for one person's perspective about the VA Caregiver Program.
With that all said, please take care, enjoy life and I pray that you all receive a VA Caregiver Program approval soon!
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Best Wishes!
No worries; you are quite welcome! Peace!Thank you so much for your help!! God bless!!!

tier 1: $520.70
tier 2:$1,301.74

Welcome to the PEB Forum! Can anyone figure out the numbers for 76540?

Ok, I need some advice. I have applied for this program and been denies 3 times now... Not sure what I am doing wrong. My husband (just got out last year) suffers from a TBI, PTSD, anxiety, memory loss, etc... They keep telling me I do not qualify because he is capable of caring for himself... Twice this week, I have had to turn the burner on the stove off because he forgot.... He is surely capable of caring for himself.... and burning my house down! I know he's not completely dependent upon me by any means, but I have to do his cooking, laundry, cleaning the house, etc. as well as manage the finances and help with his meds and appointments. I do not understand how they keep rejecting us.... Any help would be great. Thanks!
Hmm, out of curiosity, have you had any success with getting an approval for the DoVA Caregiver Program at this particular point in time?Thanks... This is all in his medical records and he goes to VA appointments every week so it's not like they aren't aware... i'll see if we can get them to help out, though....

Update for anyone interested:
We received a HIPPA compliant voicemail telephone call from our assigned DoVA Caregiver Support Outreach RN stating the need for scheduling of an Annual in-home visit to determine if my (the veteran’s) condition still meets the criteria for the program or if my (the veteran’s) condition has improved to where VA caregiver services are no longer needed.
In retrospect, since the VA Caregiver Support Program is a "temporary" monetary stipend federal assistance program which require quarterly Primary Family Caregiver case reviews to include an annual eligibility (medical) evaluation for the veteran, lets see if I am/we are included in the next round of VA statistics for termination of VA caregiver services/benefits seemingly via the "one year and done" on-going VA trend.
As such, definitely more to follow soon upon the conclusion of the aforementioned DoVA Caregiver Support Program's annual requirement!
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Best Wishes!
Indeed, thanks for the reminder for sure! How did the re-eval go?
