Gentlemen, I understand how frustrating the uncertain can be. However, think about the older VA/military compensation programs. Just a few years ago if you were found unfit for service, you were immediately cleared and sent home (meaning pay stopped) and had to wait until the VA finished their evals to actually get your compensation. Now I know there were variations in cases and that this was not the exact process it took, but my main point is that our system now at least keeps you employed until you get the findings. I am saying this now after just finishing my FPEB (requested FPEB but after presenting new evidence the board overturned the original IPEB findings and gave me 30% combat related PDRL) and understand some of the ins and and outs of the program. I know every situation is different and many of us are ready to get on with other careers, pursue other oppurtunities, and even just spend well-earned time with family. I guess my bottom line is unless you have some 150k job lined up, just sit back, do what you are told by your command and soak up the pay. Also use your time to personally reflect on what new career(s) you might want to pursue if you MOS or Branch doesnt directly correlate with the Civilian world (mine was 11 series). Additionally, the old saying catching more flies with honey is definitely true in this case. Try not to point fingers at your PEBLO, for the most part, they are trying their best to service a tremendous load of soldiers; more than they were originally intended for. If you stay non-confrontational and open-minded (maybe it really isnt that specific persons fault) then they will work harder for you. Additionally, you will come out of the situation feeling better regardless of whether the outcome changed in your favor. I don't mean to preach but I want to offer what I believe to be the best use of your energy. I wish every one of you the best.
P.S. Do as much research as possible in every facet of the VA and the PEB system.
