Seattle Regional VA Timelines:

I'm stationed at Ft Campbell and I just picked up my 199 this afternoon. 40% Army and 60% VA. Hopefully this time next month Ill be on terminal leave!!

Here has been my timeline so far:
11Sept13 - MEB initiated
20Oct13 - C&P Exams Completed
31Oct13 - NARSUM signed and submitted
07Nov13 - Found unfit and Packet sent out for Ratings
21Feb13 - Notified by PEBLO proposed ratings had been completed by VA
28Feb13 - Received DA 199

I spent the afternoon at the legal office and everything looks correct. I plan on signing my 199 Monday morning. So far my IDES dashboard has yet to change and Ebenefits is still stuck on "Review of Evidence". So much for relying on those for accurate information.

Wow! It seems that your DoD IDES process was uneventful while being well under the DoD published completion time of 295 calendar days for Active Component military service members. Good deal for sure!

That's what I thought , I think you told me that before but I can see where Dicky is saying cause my lawyer said the same thing and I told him that I thought it was after final ratings and he says yeah it is...I said you do know it takes the VA forever for that

If its WAY to early than it will get kicked back. I didn't get around to it today. I am going go through the packet and make sure it's solid and send it off next week.

I have the packet ready to go, but it is to easy to wait a few months before I send it. I was told that before the VA kicks in you send it in and they will have it ready to process as soon as the final ratings are sent. Either way I'm done an after this experience what's waiting a few months.

Well I'm probably on the same road you just traveled stuck in traffic. The fact that I have an appeal pending before I started the IDES process just like you had I think I'm going to be screwed on this one. I have to just settle with the realization I might be spending close to 300 days waiting for ratings as well just like you have.

Let your MSC know that you have an appeal. Cause your file is prob in DC. They will not rate you without your file. BVA will not release your file until b your appeal is done. Seattle has to create a temp file to work your Case. I still don't have my ratings. For all I know I might have to wait until my appeal is done. I been pending decision approval for month. I am thinking something is messed up. But I have a 2011 docket number at bva . so my appeal should be done this year. They are on 2011 dockets

I am still not sure we are tracking an accurate timetable for the Seattle office at each level (30%/10%/60%) for each step. I have seen several of you who were pending decision for short periods of time and gone on to Pending decision approval and are waiting there. I myself was at pending decision for many months and just finally went to pending decision approval. I think mine falls into the complicated one as it includes upper and lower bilateral neuropathies.

yeah my Aug 2011 doc was finally approved in June2013, I canceled my appeal and IU two months ago hoping to speed up my case at Seattle. If I have to, I will file at the very last minute appeal of my 2011 claim in June of this year.

Well I checked my ebenefits this morning and it went back to gathering of evidence and requested separation documents. From my understanding that means my ratings are finally done. Looks like I don't have much longer to go! 162 days for VA ratings at Seattle.

In June of 2013, I was told by the Houston ROVA that I would have given 100% but because I was not currently under a MEB at that time, they could only rate me at 90% (total BS even though I submitted all the docs showing that another MEB is in the process) and the 2nd MEB didn't start until Sept 2013. I was denied IU at the time because military income exceeded the poverty threshold for IU.

I may not need the appeal if my proposed ratings are interpreted correctly from the VA for the PEB, I have 3 unfit conditions that I hope exceeds or at least 50% mark on the DOD side, and hope 100% from the VA.
The 3 unfit conditions the Narsum states "service member has reached MRDP Medical Retention Determination Point, based on his ability to return to full duty after greater than 12 months of treatment and limited duty due to his conditions of PTSD, Neck DDD C5-C7, RT Ankle.

Also all 3 unfit conditions state, "SM will not return to service in 5 years", So I hoping my outcome will be PDRL and not TDRL.

That's good, you had 1 unfit condition(lumbar)-correct? and how many claimed conditions did you have?

I wish mine where done i have been at pending decision approval since feb 19th. I talked to the Va and they said they are done they are just waiting to be sent to the peblo. I was hoping it would have been done allready. but i guess i cant complain my claim has only been at seattle for 131 days.

Yes, I had my local VSO write it up on a 4138, basically stating to disregard the appeal and IU dated June2013 at this time, because of the ongoing MEB/PEB....

This was done because I had to go through all the C&P exams again from the MEB/PEB and the exams from Oct2013 may correct or address my concerns, but after reviewing the 60 pages of the latest C&P exam, some stuff benefits me while other conditions did not.

A seasoned MSC that I talked to, said since my stuff was went to Seattle, she told me that she has not seen a case where they lowered previous awarded conditions because of the MEB/PEB. I hope that is very true, because my other claimed conditions were closed out in Ebunnies in exactly one month from the VA 21-0819 form, and I'm just waiting for the unfit conditions to get re-evaluated.

Two of my unfit conditions should increase based of the language used and my third condition is screwed because the Dr filled in crap numbers on a ROM for my DDD C5-C7.

That's why last month, I had my Dr. write up a 5 page Narsum on my neck DDD with a history of ROM from the last 3 years and the ROM from my visit in Jan2014 and the VSO pointed out the VA language rating for 70% on the PTSD alone, and I submitted another Dr dictation from a VA Out Patient Clinical Director addressing my Rt ankle, 2 surgeries, ROM, limit of motion, ankle brace, compression socks and the use of a cane for at least a 20% rating.

Hope this helps ya out and understand a bit about my case.

Thats a good thing… It means it is at the rating board! Not too much longer. I think it was around 2-3 weeks for most people.
