It is at the bro, it is at that....

I just picture that scene at the end of Beetlejuice every time someone posts their timelines...
:'(

Being that your case timeline is ending around the holidays, it may change your time line to the right a little bit. The civilians like to take time off alot in Nov/Dec.
You just might be lucky and the 199 will be done before thats starts. Then there is no stopping you! Wu-woot!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Well with 20 other claims, your case is complcated... LOL. Hang in there it should be done fairly soon!

Hmm, in my case with 50 claimed conditions and more to follow, I am well on my way to setting a DoVA D-RAS record for official ratings completion upon military disability retirement! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Yes you is, I didn't realize you were that screwed up LOL. 50... makes my 15 look like peanuts.:D:p

Wow 50 claims looks like you are getting paid. Hope it a works out for you.

You would think that with all the cases through the last 12 years of war they have seen these claims in some form or another and would have quick reference and pump them out. Instead I am in the DMV line from hell.

They have tons more claims coming in than they are pushing out, you never want them to rush through decisions because it will create even a bigger backlog from reconsiderations/appeals

The wait isnt over! the wait for final ratings is just as long if not longer, and that wait isnt bringing you a full AD paycheck

Congrats! 120 days or so is looking like the average out of Seattle for ratings and then backpay within a week!!

Hopefully your Auto and SAH comes next!
Thanks, I hope so! I will definitely keep you all posted!

Waiting on my 199 since 18Sept 2013............I have seen a handfull of people receiving theirs in about 6-7days...i hope that is true....i havent asked my PEBLO for ratings either............im being patient lol I will reach 120 days on 10OCT2013.....

@medic604 The "Prep for Decision" status means your ratings are now complete. The rater is preparing the documentation to give to their supervisor for approval. Your PEBLO should be able to see your ratings at this point. Congrats

@ebrown hello, I just called my PEBLO and she said she cannot see my ratings. She did, however, say that she can see that my ratings are done, and that she is waiting on the 199. At that point, she will see ratings....

@Dickie G.....hello! I checked Ebennies and there was an update today. It went back to gathering of evidence and also showed "requested documents for seperation." I called my VA rep, this means my ratings are done and the PEB is working up my 199, it also means that they are requesting my DD214. Ugh through all the emotions of today I have a headache from the moment I saw it move back to gathering of evidence...so nervous...

I hope yours decides to move along!!

Congratulations, hopefully I can hear something soon for my information as well. Hopefully you get your orders and be set.

Ok here is the problem, it takes up to 30 days for the PEB to "receive" your packet, even though they get it the day the VA sends it to them. The "receive" your packet means that a PEBLO opened and read the ratings. It can take them up to 2 weeks to send it to the 199 writer, who then can take up to 30 days to "receive" it. Then they have 10 business days to write up the 199, they then send it back to the PEBLO. The PEBLO then has to review the 199 to ensure that it is to standard. They then will call you to come in and review it.

The timelines given by the MEB program are not a regulation or a written rule. No one in the system is held accountable for failing to do something on time.

Roger grizz13, just frustrating to wait so long (since Jun 2012 P3 Profile initiated) and to think your stuff is going to fly through at the end once it gets out of the black hole that is DRAS Seattle and then to realize that still more waiting. Ready to move on with life and be a "Mr."

I know the feeling, I was even forced to deploy while on a P3 profile back in 2008 for my first brain injury. Guess what happens? I get my second TBI 3 weeks into that deployment... They were supposed to start my MEB back in 2006, but they never did...

So I received this email today.

"
Your case has been reviewed by the VA and they have assigned the preliminary
ratings to your service connected conditions. At this time we are awaiting
the Army to download those results and initiate your disposition. This can
take some time therefore I will not guarantee when you should expect getting
a phone call from Ms _______ to review your results. "

I assume this is good news. From this point, how much longer should I expect? I know a soldier here after receiving the same email met with his peblo a week after to review his findings.

been sitting at the same point for awhile now my case is not difficult 1 unfit and 6 other claims i have been checking everwhere to see if it can be moved up or what the hold up is the only part for IDES system that is not working right is VA

Indeed, this is a positive indication that your DoVA proposed ratings are completed and your branch of service (Army) is performing their PEB adjudication for PDRL, TDRL or separation from service determination findings.

Moreover, from my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, the potential completion of IPEB findings could take from one week to one month; I averaged about 17 days for receipt of the initial IPEB findings and the reconsideration #1 IPEB findings.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Usually with-in 5-7 business days you get the call, but it can move to the right a few days if they find a mistake.
