Thanks so much, Warrior for all of your help and advice. Now, I need to find out about this CRSC.

Thank You All for the advice, wishes, feedback, and listening to my complaints of this drawn out process. My claim was closed-COMPLETED on yesterday. Someone must have put in some overtime! I will remain on the site to offer any assistance, no matter how minimal to others. Feeling so blessed!

No worries, it's all good blessing! :)

Indeed, we all can benefit from your knowledge and experiences too; thanks for continuing to offer feedback on the PEB Forum!

You are welcome, indeed! :)

By the way, in my opinion, ranger2992 is definitely an experienced military veteran in reference to CRSC application generation, its completion, and overall CRSC insightful advice! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

I sent in the POA and called the VA and I still have no new information other than they get up to 120 days to finish the claim, which could be more or less depending on the complexity of the case. When I ask them if mine is complex they can't answer "because each case is different".

For those who know there percentages before they are finish, did you get it out of the VA or somewhere else. This could could be my new focus. Keep me occupied for the time being.

Hello just a question about your response: The Seattle, WA VA told you that they have 120 days? Meaning that this is a guideline for them?

i was told the samething. my paperwork has been in "Rating" phase since June 6 when i was told i was unfit for duty.

Our timeline might be close. I received my unfit on 10June2013.

My case went to rating on 5/16/13. There wasn't anymore movement until 9/3/13. Checked with my local DAV office and was told it look like it has moved into the final stages. She also told me that Atlanta VA received 16000 of Seattle cases. Initially, it went to DRAS in Seattle 12/12/12.

EVERYTHING that has to do with a timeline in the entire process is a guideline. No one is held accountable for failing to meet the timelines except probably the VA rating side. It was disappointing for sure when I get told that I would be out of the Army in less than a year "guaranteed", when it actually took 1 1/2 years for me. 2 months of that was from my packet being lost, and no apology or the employee getting reprimanded...

It has been almost 90 days and my claims were completed today. Final rating is 80%, when will I get the back pay? As well how much a month would this be married with 3 kids? they said only $800 I dont think this is true. DAV rep called and told me today.

Congrats on your award! If your children are all under 18, then you should receive $1844 monthly. Go to http://www.vvaarizona.org/va_comp_calc.php#result . I was told that backpay should come within a week after claim completion. I am waiting on mine too.

That is what I was told is there guide line. I also found out through my CSM during a NCOPD that the military has sent 21 members of the military to for assistance, either this month or last and will get clarification on the date.

I spoke with the Washington DAV today and he said my case is in the file bank and there could be up to 10,000 total from all branches waiting. He could not tell me where mine was at but that on average as if now it is 45-60 to recive you initial rating depending on how complex your case is. He said that they have everything for me and are not waiting for anything so I am in a good spot. Should be early to mid October. I am not going to hold my breath but this did make me feel better.

Congradulation on the 80%. If you don't mind me asking what was the reasons for your Med board. Just trying to measure up my reason with people's % to try to estimate where I will be at. I know every case is different.

My E benefits finally changed today to "Your claim is complete. A letter will be sent to you via U.S. mail formally documenting the completion of your claim."

Just waiting on DA199 now..... the end is near....

Mine was received for rating on 5/9/13 where it was stagnant until I checked with my DAV office today and was told it was in the final stages as of 9/4/13.

That's awesome for you congratulations. So are you out of the service or are you still clearing, I am almost at 5 months. I can't wait totally pumped for you.

So if the VA gave you 80% what was the rating from the army, is it going to be 80% also?
