VA Proposed Rating of 90%: 20DEC2023
Everything seems to be moving very fast as of late. I saw my case open and close the same day on the 19Dec2023 and was able to call the Va 1-800# to get them to email the proposed ratings to me. How much longer should it be before I hear back from the DOD?
OOh we are on pretty much the same timeline… lmk if you hear anything ! last i heard my case was back with VA should go back to PEB soon I think. Looks like maybe ~45 days from here :/
I'd prepare for closer to two months-ish after the proposed ratings until you get your findings. That seems to be the trend of late. Every timeline is different and this is abnormal from what I've seen but they've got a lot of cases to work through.

So if both of us received closed on VA website on 20 DEC 23 then we should expect 2 months from then? Or two months from when they go back to the VA again?
I'd expect somewhere around 2 months from 20 DEC 23. I got my proposed ratings back on NOV 11 23 and I am still waiting for my findings. Someone who got their proposed ratings on NOV 2 23 got their findings yesterday. There's others around who also got their stuff in early NOV 23 and haven't heard anything back yet, so we're all sitting at 2 monthsish past proposed ratings. It might speed up from here now that the bulk of the holidays are passed (I hope it does for your sake) but there's a good chance it won't for a bit.

Talked to my PEBLO today. I’m out of QA and my case has been sent back to the VA. Found unfit and was told I should receive my official findings next week!

I believe its for the VA to know you have been found unfit. They close one claim and open a new one where your proposed ratings will be finalized once you get out and have uploaded your DD214.

I spoke with my PEBLO when I was accepting my findings, and sort of in passing asked this question. He'd mentioned that it was due to this similarly. I guess basically it is letting the MSC know the findings so that they can reach out for the exit interview upon receiving the findings accepted as well.

If it went to voicemail someone else had probably called. I think it's just one line. I've seen people usually be successful around 0800 EST - 1000 EST. That's when I managed to get ahold of them the time I called.
Okay so i just got lucky with him answering but the information i got sucks. So apparently they just got my case yesterday because they dont get the cases from the VA until they, the DOD, ask for the case. The VA does not automatically send it to them. So even tho my case has been done with the VA since November they didn't even request it until 16Jan and didnt get it until yesterday. So he told me it will likely be 2 months before i get findings. This seems like a broken system. Why wouldn't the VA just send them over when they are done. It would streamline things. He did say that they hired 2 new people in the QA section so it could be faster and to give him a call back in a month. He said there is approx 1100 cases in front of mine.
So I just called and found out that they sent my case back to the VA for ratings. Once they receive it back from the VA they will marry it up to my findings and send it to my PEBLO. Does this sound right to anyone?
Today was a good day to call because they picked up for me. I was told I would hear back next week probably. I received my VA proposed ratings November 8th. I am probably going to request a Formal board as I have conditions that were not included. Does anyone have information on the timeline on how long the Formal Board process will extend this process?
From my understanding if you do a formal board to add on conditions you will have to go back and redo the process for the most part. You'd have to get new exams and get everything added onto your already established paperwork which would probably take another good section of time like this QA phase has already. If you end up at at 100% PDRL it probably wouldn't do much for you either. It might be worth it if you're under 100%. You can also submit additional claims when you get out through the usual VA process. Not an expert on this whole thing but I know for me I'm sitting at 100% projected and if I keep the 100% I'm just going to make regular claims for the one or two conditions I didn't end up claiming on the PEB.

I was told I’d hear something last week and when I spoke to my PEBLO again, he refused to look in the system and told me to wait another month. Not the news I wanted to hear. Calling the PEB this past Monday the system went down and there are allegedly 3 doctors on vacation/sick leave right now.
