8 years AD here. I'm currently diagnosed with PTSD, major depressive disorder and mixed anxiety, along with a laundry list of other conditions. At a recent appointment with my PCM he let me know that my MH diagnoses does not meet retention standards and he is initiating an MEB on me. However, when he contacted my psychologist, they told him that they wont be providing a NARSUM until I complete a second round of treatment protocol (3-4 months).
I've been going to MH twice a week for 6 months now and nothing has improved. I've lost my clearance and can no longer perform any of my job duties because my job always requires a SCIF.
Can MH just drag their feet on this and refuse to write a NARSUM for an already disqualifying condition just for the sake of "trying one more thing?". I understand the MEB process can take 6-12 months on average, and this will most likely put me at over 12 months of waiting while my mental health continues to decline.
Any advice?
