NMCSD Timeline

@rahollow, I think it was within 10 days of finishing my appts. Once I had my final C&P and it was annotated in the myhealthevet records, it was all ready to be signed rather quickly. Did a doc from Neuro refer you to the MEB? My Neurosurgeon referred me and he took care of it all real quick after my exams were through.
So I just looked on myhealthvet and I went to blue button and I downloaded my VA notes and I see all the notes except for the note for what I was placed on the MEB for? Is that somewhere else? At the beginning of the C&P examinations it has the Diagnosis Summary and then one column says ''Claimed Conditions'' and then the other column says ''Diagnosis.'' For the Diagnosis there are two that say '' eye DBQ, Neuro DBQ'' what does that mean?

Hmmmmm... Maybe the VA docs that did your exams for your referred conditions haven't finished their DBQs yet. If they are finished with them, you should see a summary almost with lists of questions and the answer your doc selected. They should read pretty close to what you would find in the VASRD. Did you select all when you used the Blue Button? I did that and then I read through it all until I kind of had a handle on what everything meant. There's a good possibility they're still working on them. It will take a few days too for it to upload to the system your docs and the PEBLOs use too. For the diagnosis part, maybe they were just listing "eye DBQ/Neuro DBQ" as points of reference so they didn't have to list it separately again. I'm not sure though, so don't quote me on that. LOL! Sounds like it's all coming together though!

My Package is currently at the PEB in DC an I still haven't found out if I'm fit/unfit an its been there sense March 23, Hopefully I find out very soon!!

I checked yesterday and it is fully complete and it says that it was sent to the MTF last week. I haven't been called yet about the NARSUM. On EBenefit it says:
Gathering Of Evidence
  • Attention: Requested Documents are Past Due Requested Documents are Past Due
  • Attention: Development Letter Sent Development Letter Sent
Hopefully soon!!

So I just got called from the PEBLO and my paperwork is ready for me to review so I'm heading over there this afternoon!! PROGRESS :D

Oh my gosh, YAY! Now the fun begins. Well, the "process shrouded in mystery" begins. LOL! So for me, nothing at all changed in my eBenefits until it went "Pending Decision Approval" and a historical claim was listed. I know that won't keep you from wanting to check it 10 times a day to see if something changes, because I totally did. But just so you know that it's normal if you don't see anything at all change even when you know the VA has your paperwork. Good luck this afternoon! :)

So yesterday after I got my packet they said I had to go and talk with the Lawyer before I signed it and they could send it off. When I met with him he said that he is 99% sure they will find me fit with limitations. He said that as a provider (I am a Physician Assistant) they are REALLY reluctant to let us go. He said that don't care that I cannot deploy, they will want to hold onto me. I told him that if I cannot deploy, go overseas, go on a ship, basically can only work CONUS - basically I will be like a GS employee but have to do all the BS of the military (FITREPS, PRT, Duty, etc) then what is the point of being in the military? Also, I have only been in 5 1/2 years, there is no way I could make it to 20 years because I will not compare to my fellow MSC's without being able to deploy. He said for me to just submit my package and see what they say but I have my intent to separate letter all ready so if/when I get the fit findings, I can go ahead and send that off. I hope you get good results though!!!

Oh my gosh, that's terrible. I've heard that they do things like that with medical people, but I wasn't sure if it was true or not, but I guess it may be. I'm so sorry. I hope that's not the case and they deem you unfit and rate you fairly. Fingers crossed.
