My Case Timeline

Let me start by saying this forum has really been super helpful throughout this process. My case actually went pretty fast once I was entered into IDES. Prior to being notified that I would be going through a full MEB back June I had been on a profile for about a year. So here goes

3 Jun -- Full MEB Notification
25 Jun - C&P 1
29 Jun - C&P 2
2 Jul --- C&P 3
20 Jul -- C&P 4 (Final)
10 Aug - Signed NARSUM, no objections
24 Aug - PEB wanted a new addendum with more information. (Our doc was TDY, so this set my case back about 2 weeks)
24 Sep - Disposition came back. DOD-40% VA-90% (God is good-- I accepted!!)

Now just waiting on orders!
All and all once everything got started, just under 4 months. I just want to thank everyone that shared their story. I checked this forum everyday throughout this ordeal. I honestly had it easy compared to what others have been through! I had a civilian PCM who coordinated with our base doc, who by the way was completely amazing. (We are on a guard base so only about 200 AD members.) He talked to me and explained everything throughout each step even asking me what I wanted and how I wanted this to work out. I also got the same support from my CC. My PEBLO who was about 90 miles away kept me updated and stayed on top of everything. She also gave me deadlines. i.e. If I hadn't heard anything by a certain date, then call her and she would check. I have to say I have been truly blessed going through so hopefully my story can be some encouragement to others. I know everyone's case is different so I wish you all the best of luck and thank you for being my support system. ( even if you didn't know

msann, thank you for your timeline post. I check this forum regularly trying to determine what I can expect. My last C&P exam is scheduled for 15 Oct, so I am hoping that I will get a decision before Christmas. Based on your timeline I am hopeful that can still happen before Christmas, however as PEBLO reminds me every case is different. May your future be blessed.

Well wishes for your upcoming exam and results. Hopefully you can receive your results as early Christmas present. I hope to have a separation date by then. The most advice I can give you is to always stay positive. Good luck!

Oh my goodness! Diabetes runs in my family so I know how scary that can be. Do your best to take care of yourself. Good luck with everything.

Oh my God! I can't believe how fast things have happened! I have a retirement date of 28 Nov. Be encouraged everyone and thanks again for being my support system! I must admit I'm somewhat addicted to this forum. Even though everything is wrapping up for me so quickly, I still find myself lurking! (:

Allan0320 mine spent about 10 days under prep for decision. If you click on the date that your claim was actually started it may have an estimated completion date. Good luck!
 
Hey :) you mentioned the estimated completion date on ebenefits...did your case finish around the same time as your estimated completion date? I'm just wondering if those dates can actually be trusted or not..
 
Good question. While going through my C&P exams my estimate was around April 2016. After my documents were sent by me PEBLO last week it still said "Gathering of Evidence," but the completion estimate is now December/January.

I honestly think it has more to do with what VA you are using and how timely they are with getting that information uploaded. Mine was always accurate within 2-3 days. I had to go to the VA in Birmingham, AL. I was told by my PEBLO that they have one of the better VAs. I do believe it, mine appointments came rather quickly and everyone there was really helpful.
