MEB timeline

The gentleman I talked to seemed irritated with the two questions I asked so I didn't push my luck asking for ratings. I waited a couple days and called my PEBLO to get my overall proposed rating.
Just fyi if you call the VA hotline number you can let them know that you haven't received your proposed rating package and they are able to fax it to you. That's what I did this morning and saw my unfitting condition will retire me.

From my experience, there have been 2 older-sounding gentlemen answering that phone. One does sound grumpy but he's really a very nice guy if you shoot the breeze with him and dont get straight to the point as to why you called. The other guy is the one who tends to put me on hold the times I called. Not very chatty or personable it seemed. I was hesitant too but I figured it was something I really wanted to know since my PEBLO wasn't helpful.

What number did you call?

I talked to the gentleman that puts you on hold for minutes at a time. He wasn't talkative at all.

I just gave them a call and the gentleman I talked to said he can't legally give me the proposed ratings. I'm guessing you got another person on the phone.
If you haven't received your proposed ratings in the mail (which you won't from what I have seen from other post) them they can fax them to you. They cannot tell you over the phone or email you.

I said "Its been over 10 days and I haven't received my ratings, I have tried to call my MSC but I haven't been able to get in touch with him." He then offered to fax them to me.

My experience was pretty much same as freeatlast. Very painless. Today is a Monday so probably not in good mood at beginning of week.

I was told since AD, ratings sent to PEBLO, not mailed to member.

Interestingly enough, I did get letter in mail today from VA asking for proof of college enrollment for a dependent so my claim could be finalized.
Do we get back pay from date of filing with our MSC?

So I talked to someone who was able to tell me that my 356 is done and just waiting to be sent back to the PEBLO. He said that I will get it either this week or early next week. We are almost out of this dark tunnel guys!

PEB office confirmed receipt of my package this morning. I have a couple questions: how long did it take you guys to receive fit/unfit decision once PEB board received your package? Also, E-Benefits says my claim is pending decision approval--are they just waiting for the AF to make a decision and send VA the package? Seems to me VA has already rated my claim and waiting on the AF, but I'm not sure. Anyone here experience this?

Hopefully mine is sitting in the same pile as yours.

This process is ridiculously long. I should have taken the legacy option and moved on w/ my life by now.

10/3/17--NARSUM/CC Letter complete
11/21-17--C&P Exams complete
12/15/17—Signed MEB Package
12/15/17—Package submitted to IPEB
12/18/17—Mypers confirmed receipt of MEB package

It's not a quick process and we all know the feeling that you are feeling but just think your still getting a paycheck while all of this plays out.

Wish I could relax. I'm hoping the process speeds up some now that the package is w/ AFPC.

Just remember the holidays are coming up and hopefully not a government shutdown on this Friday. Hopefully not any issues but something to keep on back of your mind.

Did you already get your proposed ratings from the VA?
The VA should be able to fax your proposed ratings. Mine were faxed today but weren’t legible, then tried to call back and the individual kept me on hold till 4pm and said to call back tomorrow because they were closing.
