MEB timeline

Cool. Congrats! I should be right behind you and Freeatlast. Can hardly wait. Did they explain how your pay would work?

Yeah she said since I'm TDRL that I'll have to get seen in 18 months but I'll start recieving my va pay (hopefully) the 15th of may.

She was also saying that with TDRL technically I could be called back to active duty but she said they really use it so they can force you to see them every few years to make sure you are doing ok. She said it's their way of covering their ass after they had that whole ordeal with the vets getting booted for PTSD and not receiving care.

That's a long time to wait to collect pay. Hopefully you've saved up some to live off of for the next 5 months.
My ebenefits still shows "pending decision approval" after it was at "preparation for notification". The new case that opened up is still there but nothing in historical. I thought when a new case is opened, the other closed.

I'm assuming that all but maybe a month of that he will still be collecting his normal pay check due to being on terminal leave. At least I hope that's the case

Yeah I should have a month where I have no pay, hopefully 15 days but I'm preparing for a month.

Called providence and they faxed my proposed ratings. Should be 50% dod and 80% va! We will see when my 356 shows up but it's looking good!
How did you know your DoD ratings ahead of time...my proposed ratings mention nothing about DoD ratings, only VA.

I know what condition(s) are my "unfitting" conditions so I just looked at the ratings breakdown I was sent from the VA and the rating of my unfitting condition is what the DOD will give.

Thanks Andrew. I figured but wanted to ask. I had several unfitting conditions. My proposed ratings had two 50's, two 30's, three 20's and two 10's. The other rated percentages were not unfitting. Hoping for at least 80% DoD. TDRL vs PDRL is another question, too.

So I was given a copy of my proposed ratings and as long as the DoD adopts the percentage for my unfitting condition I met the 30% and will be medically retired.

For those of you waiting on AFPC, do you know when the VA sent your ratings to AFPC? Mine were sent on the 4th of December so I'm just trying to see how close my timeline is to a couple of yours.

Mines was sent the same day so I'm hoping this week we can sign for ratings.

How do you know the date it was sent back to AFPC, the date it closed in EBenefits? My case went historical last week so I'm hoping, like freeatlast, we get to sign this week.

The gentleman I talked to seemed irritated with the two questions I asked so I didn't push my luck asking for ratings. I waited a couple days and called my PEBLO to get my overall proposed rating.
