I have read a bunch of the treads on this site and still confused. A little about myself, I currently in the Navy and hit my 8 year mark in April of this year. My job right now is a recruiter for shore duty but my sea time is on a sub. Just made E-6, and made recruiter of the year, so i have had a good year with one bad thing. A couple months ago I was diagonsed with type 1 diabetes. Just had a physical and they put me on limdu and they want a med board. Went a talked to the limdu people and they told me I should be fine and be able to stay in the navy. They just need to get the dictation and screen it before they decide if I need a board. Sounded good to me, then I went to my command to inform them about my limdu status. Basically i was told get ready to find a back up job and get my disability lined up. I do not want to kicked out of the navy because of this and wanted to know what i have to do to prevent this from happening.
