Fort Knox Timeline

One last update for the day. I called the Seattle DAV this afternoon and they informed me that my proposed ratings were 10% DoD and 80% VA. It is not looking like I will be able to try and use my asthma as an unfitting condition at the FPEB if I go that route because it is rated with my sleep apnea.

2 questions for Anjdemorte

What does your ebenefits say as of today?

and

Is you claim currenly back at the PEB waiting on the 199?

Right now my ebenefits is showing pending decision approval. I am not sure if my claim has been sent back to the PEB yet as my DAV rep was able to tell me my ratings. I would guess that since it has only been about 24 hours since ebenefits changed that it hasn't made it back to the PEB yet.

Well updating my signature once again to show that ebennies has changed to gathering of evidence again and requesting separation documentation......aka DD214. For anyone that has any experience with that what is the best way to get that to the VA?? Once I get my DD214 should I just upload through ebenefits?? Thanks for all of the good info in this forum everyone and everyone that I know that is going through an MEB/PEB I have referred them to this website.

You should be receiving a phone call from your PEBLO in within next couple of weeks. Man, you are almost at there.

Have a great weekend!

I recommend uploading your DD Form 214 through ebenefits. This will ensure is was submitted and allow you to track it immediately.

That is what I was thinking as well. It is definitely a good feeling to almost be done with this entire process. Ready to be able to move on with my life and not be in limbo anymore.

So, Thursday morning after I finish my staff duty shift I get to go see my PEBLO. She has the recommendations back from the PEB. So now its time to see what they determined which will in turn determine my future course of action.

Good deal! I hope your PEB results are favorable in support of your expectations!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Well it came back that they are offering me 10% DoD and 80% VA. A couple of conditions that I believe should be unfitting that were rated at 30% and so I have as of yesterday sent up my appeal to the PEB asking for a formal board to get those conditions changed to unfitting. Now it is time to see how this goes for me. Hoping for the best here.

Congratulations on recent receipt of your IPEB findings inclusive of your DoD and DoVA proposed ratings. :)

To that extent, good deal with the demand for a formal PEB hearing; you definitely are moving in a positive direction for potential resolution in my opinion. ;)

Indeed, never default acceptance to potential injustice!

Well just a quick update to my timeline here at Ft. Knox. I go in tomorrow to fill out and submit my paperwork for a medical extension on my contract. As of today it has been 465 days since I started this process back in September 2012 and 48 days since I have appealed and requested a FPEB.

So, as of yesterday I met with my PEBLO as was told that I have a FPEB date of 07 Feb 14. I have already contacted the SMEBC in the NCR and I am waiting for a call back once my case has been assigned to someone. I am also conducting this via VTC so if anyone has experience with conducting a FPEB via VTC any advice would be great.

Good deal and congratulations! :)

Hmm, I would be interested to know who your NCRPEB assigned military counsel is upon notification from the SPEBC Office via a PM.

To that extent, albeit my overall experiences with the NCRPEB assigned military counsel has been extremely dismal (stating it very politely at this point), you should hopefully have positive experiences with your PEB assigned counsel.
