Commanders Extension

Because i assumed everything was good when i was told that my COC couldnt deny my reqerst for an extension ......until my 1SG went and called me into his office at 1600 today stating that the BDE denied it...im def calling tomorrow and IG if they cant solve it..This is the Brigade Commander saying no the the extension..who handles that...OMBUDSMAN or IG?

Pardon me for being blunt, but would you get a fucking clue!! Everybody in this thread has told you to contact the freaking Ombudsman. I provided you with the numbers. HE IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE?

WHAT IS YOUR P3 CONDITION?

@ Ranger2992 I stored them in my phone

I don't know WTF you assumed everything was good?? Everybody in here told you it wasn't.

My P3 Condition is PTSD, major Depressive Disorder, severe w/ Psychotic features

The MEB/PEB office told me it was all good and my COC couldnt deny me...

As a last resort you could check yourself into behavioral health tomorrow morning. There are a lot of health care professionals that care deeply about soldiers and will do whatever they can to help.

the ombudsman wont be able to help! today is the 5th plus its a training hoilday this week which by the is a 4 day. Do the math

Hell i told he to call the head of the meb and i gave him his name and number.

Emerald
the worst case senario, once you are at DEMOB site to begin out processing procedures. if you are found to be a medical no-go you will be evaluated for assignment to the WTU. Packet requesting assignment to the WTU would be processed and orders published. But you gotta make sure that you have your P3 profile that initiate the MEB in the system. In your situation, I rather go through my MEB process while at WTU than your unit (they will make your life like hell). Ask your first seargent that you need to speak to the IG. They can't stop you from talking to him, then explain your case to your IG.

i dont know how your mental state is but with those conditions and your situation(i fear for your safety) if you are in a mental struggle like me i have to say honestly the best idea is to go to the er now not tomorrow check yourself in to 1 1w because for some reason i dont think you can see the ramifications of your actions! if not next week you will most likely be another statistic! maybee you are confused or dont want to rattle the cage but its time for a reaction bro!!!

Im not sure who sent me a message in regard's to Emerald issue! But the best advice for Emerald is the truth, not false hope! Second the job of an Ombudsman is not to extend you beyond your ETS date, they handel complaints or issues your have during any part of a medical process. An Ombudsamn is the same as IG. Look it would be great if he could MEB/PEB out. The fact of the matter is he waited to late. First off once a doctor or pcm writes the P3 their head doctor LTC or above signs off in eprofile. From there it moves into IDES to be reviewed not by a doctor but by other staff members that make sure you have a MRDP in the profile. Hell you can have a P3 all day long without that on it nothing happens. Next you should read DOD insruction 1332-38 that covers the MEB/PEB process. I'm not trying be mean or hate but one must figure out that on FT Bliss nothing comes easy and if you dont have alot of time your on the losing end. He has 3 days left, what is the common theme in everyones MEB? Time you will need alot of it. His best option file with the VA when he gets to his home of record!

I give up !
lol, don't ever give up ranger. it's very obvious that emerald has some indecision problems due to his/her anxiety. Our job is to help him/her like others did in this forum. NO ONE LEFT BEHIND.

myself and ranger gave him numbers and pocs, he has the name and number from the head of the meb on bliss

I didn't give up. I am just tired of arguing and I didn't have anything else I could advise him on. What I did is email Jason, Mike and the Warrior Taskforce after I made my last comment with hopes they can help him better than I have.

If he has a condition that qualifies him for a MEB he should get one. I understand that the reality is that a lot of CoCs are either ignorant or unsympathetic to the requirement. Plan for the worse and document the hell out of your attempts to get a MEB. Send an email to you CoC's and keep a copy. Same for the medical folks and anyone else responsible for making sure you get a MEB/PEB. This documentation will be helpful if you continue to pursue the issue post separation via the BCMR or federal court.

Thank you all on your help ......I do appreciate everyones advice. I have been put in for a Med board all signature except the chain of command even called the OMBUDSMAN. I dont mind rattling the cages and my mental state when it comes to understanding the "ramifications of my actions" is just fine. I came on here inquiring what to do in case situation happens/ worries i had...i could not take action unless there has been some type of denial from my COC or else who would i call the OMBUDSMAN on? When they finally told me they denied it thats when I took action thanks to all your advice i knew the numbers and where to go...so all the rudeness and insults were definitely not warranted or needed nor appreciated , I understand help was given but talking/ or typing to someone like that no matter the situation is never appropriate...but I do thank everyone for the help...i know i would not have known where to go or how to get there without you guys directing me. OMBUDSMAN is now working the issue and my COC is changing their tune real quick...my BDE CDR had been contacted by a 3 star about the issue so lets see how it goes. I appreciate you all!!
