does anyone have a number for ides at camp pendleton?? The number I have been using to call since April all of a sudden does not work! wtf! i cant reach anyone!

Where you using the 1434 number? I have been trying that all day today and it kept saying all circuits are busy please try again later? Have you gotten any luck on getting a hold of them short of actually going there?

I got an alternative number to call but my meblo said she couldn't help so I did a walk in and went and talked to Ms Ann the VA rep.

Was she helpful? Is she to the left or the right when you walk into the building?

She is the one on the left the number to IDES is 1434 once you get someone ask to be transferred to Ann Estrada, but the problem is that all the IDES Staff are in Orlando, FL for a conference (I'm sure to make this process longer and more difficult) and I don't think they will be back till next week or the week after.

oh hey redforeman. do you know when the conference is over?

I posted this on another thread that had a lot of activity, but perhaps it'd be better placed here:

I keep seeing people saying that they were found unfit a few days after their NARSUM was sent to the PEB. Do the PEBLOs usually notify you of this finding at the time it is made, or did you find out when your ratings came back? The IDES office here in Pendleton told me I'd hear back in 60-90 days, but made no mention of finding out my fit/unfit decision before my ratings are in. I'm a Marine, so maybe our stuff is different?

I am a Marine as well on campen so no difference. I replied to your other post. I called for a status check with the va and was told that I had been found unfit

Saw it, emailed Ann. Thanks!

cupcakelady. have you gotten your ratings back yet?

I just got the call :-) 0% DoD and 100% VA

congrats!

thank you

So I talked to Ashley today, who told me I hadn't come back fit or unfit yet. It's been more than 2 weeks, so I'd hoped that part would be done by now. Its weird, because she told me that it could take a few months. I told her I'd heard fitness could be done in as little as a few days, but she said that's only if you're found fit. Sure hope it doesn't take MONTHS to find out I'm unfit before they even start working on ratings...

0% DoD and 100% VA. This hurts my head. Do you agree you only unfitting condition is a 0% VA rated condition?

the only thing I was boarded for was chronic pelvic pain so I knew it would be 0% because they can't do a rating for pain because my rom is fine. I have a clinical diagnosis of endometriosis but the board will not rate it unless it is verified by laparoscopic surgery which I haven't had and is honestly pointless because then I would be in pain recovering from being cut open when it's just for a diagnosis and not for an actually treatment or anything. I don't want more pain. I don't agree that my mst- ptsd was a condition 2 but I understand why it was. Regardless, I will gladly take my severance to pay off my debt and have a fresh start. I am happy just to be so close to being out of the hell hole that I am in.

I was boarded for 1 condition but had 23 claimed through the VA.

Once boarded, all conditions must be covered in your MEB and assessed by the PEB for fitness, both individually and collectively. Did the PEB address the fitness impact of all 24 conditions. Do you agree none of the other conditions impact your fitness? See SECNAVINST 1850.4e. CAT II conditions are to be rated.

Severance at 0 % may be a good deal for you but I wanted to make sure you were aware of these issues.
