My QTC appointments have been done since early December and I got my unfit January 7-13 the paperwork then went to DRAS on January 8 -13 ! So my question is am I not quite as far along as I thought or is someone just not updating my info?

Mike, I'm in the same boat as you right now. If I had to speculate, I'd say that your stuff is done and perhaps even your 199 is typed and ready to be signed, it's just that your PEBLO can't go forward with your case until this whole Adjustment Disorder crap is done. Everything I know about my case has come from my congressman, my DAV rep and Sascha, my PEBLO hasn't contacted me since last December.

You know the fine DAV out here says they wont help soldiers with MEB stuff have called 2 times same answer every time!
WOW if I didn't hear from my peblo in that time frame I'd be complaining he/she ought to be calling you once a week just to tell you the same thing, but at least you know they are tring to keep up with you>>>

glad to know Im not alone!

I wouldn't place too much importance on the AKO side of the thing. The files on AKO must be updated by other people besides the MEB people. Much like the Ebenefits page it's not what you need to worry about. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to see it updated and I know you will be too but that's not going to get you finished. The main thing is what your PEBLO says and that your packet is moving forward. I guess you have a diagnosis of Adjustment disorder or you wouldn't be here on this thread. If that's the case, sit back and wait like the rest of us. Until they get this stuff straight here we are. I used to think that AKO was updated by the folks at DA but now I know that if my unit doesn't make them aware of it, it doesn't go on there. I had to actually send one of my old DD214's to get updated because IPERMS doesn't reflect my first enlistment. Man, I thought that would be elementary, you know? I figured that would have been done when I enlisted this time, almost seven years ago but was I ever wrong. Now, I am probably going to have to appeal my NARSUM because my time in service is incorrect and processors and the powers that be will look at my packet thru different eyes because I am missing 6 years of time in my favor. So, you do what you have to and drive on, right?

Also does this affect the 365 day timeline they have for MEB to be completed? A few ppl I know are coming up on that time frame
The actual timeline is to have active duty cases finished within 295 days. These are not some number that a case is not "allowed" to go past. These are what we are supposed to get them done by but we have many soldiers still in the process left over from before that are well over 600 or more.
Another question in reference to this CAD. I asked my retention NCO about extending again and was told that my CO would have to write a letter on my behalf to allow my extension because people had done shady things regarding reenlistment/extensions using the MEB as a ruse. Has anyone else heard this? I only have about 125 days left on this last hitch and I know that with this latest hiccup that's not going to be enough. I have already extended once for a year so what's another year between friends, eh? I'd damn sure rather wait it out another year than get out with no benefits. Thanks again, guys.
If you are active duty, your PEBLO team will actually do your medical extension, not the unit. If you are WTB, they will do it. If you are Guard or Reserve, get with your NCM to have him/her get it started.

NCM? Are you talking about retention? Of all the anagrams out there, I am not aware of this one.

While going through the MEB/PEB process, your PEBLO is required to do the extension paperwork (ARMY side).

Just when I thought I was done waiting for the VA. The VA (DRAS) sent my documents to the PEB this week, but they only sent the first page. Back down the rabbit hole.

Has there been any update or movement on this crap?? I know something was supposed to come out last week did that end up happening?

Thanks peblo11 we are appreciative of the updates disheartening as they are!

Sorry, NCM equals Nurse Case Manager.
I am in the Reserves and I have never been made aware of a Nurse Case Manager before. My unit knows nothing about this process and are no help whatsoever. Who is this Manager and how do I contact them or whatever? I have made contact with my PEBLO twice since this started because she hasn't made any attempt to contact me. It's all fun and games until the dumpster catches on fire. Nobody wants to do anything until the last minute, in other words.

I agree with you.
I agreed with my 199 that Adjustment Disorder not contributing to me being unfit. Does this still apply?
If there is no Memo stating to hold military members for this, why do it? The bill alone is still in community and not even made it to house or senate so until the CMD of Cheif signs it. I don't see a reason to delay the PEB MEB process just my cents.

People are being held no matter if they agreed or not. People are even being recalled from terminal leave.
