IDES came back historical for me today

Your best bet is to call Providence f you are AF and get it from the horse's mouth that your ratings are actually being worked on. Unless your IDES claim goes historical it is a crap shoot as to which step it is actually on. Just my opinion

Just checked eBenefits....IDES stays the same for the 9/26-1-/14 anticipated completion date, but my Compensation Claim moved to Dec/2016-Mar/2017....WTF. My VA rater was contacted yesterday by Providence by a really good dude that I have been in contact with up there and hopefully that means...

MEBs have sped up a lot lately due to LDES(legacy) being rolled out. My I lags has been sitting a while too now, I would call providence and find out for yourself though if you're curious.

Depends on the condition. In my case it was recommended and found unfit. I am a flyer and I was medically DQd from flying due to my condition, but every case is different. Talk to your flight doc and see if it is waiver able.

Good luck with LDES. You may get out quicker and not have to deal with as much queep at work while going through the MEB, but I don't know how dealing with the VA is going to be once you're out since so many things are easier to deal with while being AD. I'm not dogging on your decision though-...
