Osgood Schlatter Help?

I just recently found myself experiencing more knee pain than usual. I did some research online about what I think it is just based off of the quality and location of the pain and I believe it’s Osgood Schlatter Disease. Apparently I had it as a child and it has just never gone away like it’s supposed to. I don’t have a large lump on my knee but it is sensitive to the touch. I do notice a slightly larger bump on my left knee than my right, however. When I try and run it’s just painful and more of a limp which then causes over correction on one side of my body also causing lower back pain and sometimes pain in my legs when trying to sleep. When I walk, sometimes it’s fine and sometimes I have a limp from it. Stairs hurt, standing up hurts, sitting slowly hurts, squats, getting in and out of my car. I just can’t put too much weight on it.

I have already tried NSAIDs, rest, PT, and nothing has worked yet.

I was referred to the ortho at my last base for focal grade 3 chondromalacia and he just said get over it. So I just kind of shut up because I didn’t know what else to do but now it’s worse than it’s ever been and I think I have actually pinpointed it so I’m just curious if anyone knows what to expect.

Has anyone here experienced this or something similar? If so, what happened with you?

Yes. Had it. Have you tried the band to put over it?

I haven't tried a band, but I have tried a few knee compression sleeves in the past. Mainly for attempting to do weighted squats. Helped a little bit but still painful during all legs workouts or running/jumping.

I had it when I was a teenager, how old are you right now? Mine didnt fully go away unti I was 19

I'm 25 now. I have had trouble with my knees for years now, but it's just gotten worse over time. My knees have always made a crackling noise when squatting or bending them. I think most of it is just due to me being taller and growing too fast as a child. I'm about 6'3" now.

Yep, what I recommend you do is strengthen the muscles/tendons around your knees to alleviate the pain. I did a lot of squatting in high school and when my quads got stronger my osgood resolved. Doctors disagreed with what I did, but then again they also wanted to put my legs in casts to help

A concerning problem developed for a transport worker in Kentucky when their license screening indicated a suspension that wasn’t correct. The worker registered for a fresh contract with a transport company. The screening said their license was invalid. Firms use these checks to choose trustworthy workers. The driver became upset about not getting the route. The provider retrieved data from public records. Some workers think these companies should verify data more closely. The wrong suspension stopped their contract for hours. The company needed a correct report to continue. Workers fear about their confidential details being secure. The provider claimed they follow tough laws to safeguard records. A hauler recommended providers permit workers view reports in advance. The hauler worked to fix the mistake with help. State rules change how these checks work. Some companies currently ask better tools for reviews. Leaders are thinking updated laws to prevent mistakes. Specialists believe companies should improve their processes for people. The hauler hopes to start the job fast. These mistakes can block opportunities easily. The company gave help to fix the issue soon. A fair system stays vital for haulers. For extra information on driving checks, explore background check reviews to discover useful resources. Drivers should check their reports for errors. If something appears wrong, they need to notify the company immediately. This ensures a just method for all. Haulers can request to view their report if required. They can update any wrong details they notice. Keeping a copy can be helpful later. The provider gives support to address problems quickly. Services should educate their workers on review guidelines. This can stop later problems. Haulers should understand their rights regarding checks. Clarity builds assurance for everyone.
