Just look at your IDES dashboard and it will give you a pretty close guess of how long your stuff has been at the VA. (login to us.army.mil and under "self service" click on MEB)
Ah alright. Wasn't really sure how accurate it was. It was stages behind even after I received my unfit memo it was showing me way behind that. Showing at 80 days waiting for ratings currently though. Ebenefits is saying Claimed opened on 30oct2013 and they received all the evidence 07november2013. Wasn't really sure which one to go off of or if ides dashboard was close on the days

Just an FYI for all you that are OCT VA timeframe.. I just talked to my PEBLO and she said the averages are coming back down to about 125 days so you guys are all SUPER close to being done:-) (Pending nothing crazy happened with your stuff).

I would trust the new IDES timeline. So you might have 45 more days to wait… But on the positive side the averages are falling so yours might come back a little sooner:-) But your on the right track!!!

Alright thanks for all the help and advice. Hopefully they end up back in the 45 days or sooner! One impatient guy right here

Gave my PEBLO a call just to see if she had maybe heard anything. She said the timelines are still looking like 6-9 months for ratings lol even though I told her plenty of people are getting them back between 90-120 days. Even people here within my unit

I think that is just a blanket statement… Everytime I ask them they give me the "VA indicates approximately 14 months" answer…. blah blah blah…. Statistically in Feb 14 it shows 145 days:-) Nothing is guaranteed, but at least it gives you peace of mind that your stuff is probably in the "middle of the pile" right now slowly making its way to the top!

For some reason when I load that .pdf up for the first second it shows your name, uic, etc.

Then it is covered by a digital blackbox.

Just thought I would bring it up if you were unaware.

Thanks for letting me know.

Just looked the VA Ratings phase for my unit where it shows other people. Two people in November13 got ratings, one with 83 days and the other with 72 days. Not sure how this impacts things now or if they're even further behind now than November

Talked to my peblo today and I am waiting on my orders so I can leave. He informed me that the system was down last Thursday for maintenance and they also had a four day weekend. It is close but nothing yet.

What is close? the IDES Dashboard?

I am currently at 126 days :(

For those who are getting accomplished faster, the VA has broken down the cases as follows: 30% simple cases are expedited to clear caseload. 10% complex tough cases are given to special case handlers. Rest 60% are put through the standard process. I would estimate that the 30% are finishing around 80-90 days, 60% are at 125 days and 10% are 120-180 days.

Hmm, I checked "My IDES Dashboard" earlier this morning and it states that "PDA Action & SecArmy Approval" has a completed date of "02/10/2014" while taking only six days for overall completion! WTH!!!

Moreover, it states that my current step is "Transition (Including Leave/PTDY)" with an "Estimated Finish Date (w/Appeal)" of "05/13/2014." Again, WTH!!!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

UPDATE #1:

Indeed, another potential false alarm since I once again called the military RSO lady and informed her of my new current "My IDES Dashboard" status to include its new current step!

To that extent and once again, she stated "no change" and I stated again "oh well, at least I am still getting paid for sure!" ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Im around 105 days waiting on ratings. I emailed my VA rep here at Ft Campbell this morning and asked if there had been any new devlopments with my case. I recieved an email back from him this afternoon stating:

"I have received notification that your proposed rating has recently been forwarded to the Formal Board. You may have already been contacted by your PEBLO concerning the resulting determination. If not, in the near future, you should receive results of this formal decision to include a copy of the proposed rating."

So what exactly does this mean? My IDES dashboard and ebenefits status have not changed at all. I havent heard anything from my PEBLO either.

That's awesome! I'm here at Ft. Campbell as well. 80 days myself waiting on ratings.

The question to the VA is, what is considered simple cases to them and what isn't? When I went through the actual MEB part, mine was one of the complex based ones that got pushed through really fast since mine was few/minor conditions

I retired on 30 June 2013 100% DoD and 100% purposed VA Rating through the IDES. I got my Final Rating from Seattle Washington on 14 Feb 2014. It took 8 months to get my Final VA Rating. Thank God it remained at 100%.

30 JUN 2013: Retired, 100% Permanent Disability Retirement (PDR) DoD & 100% Purposed VA Rating with VA followup in 6 months after Retirement with the VA.
14 FEB 2014: Received Final VA Rating P&T 100%
