I have been a long time lurker on this forum. This is my first post. I am thankful for all the information that has been supplied! Here is my timeline:

Referral: 3/26/2013
VA Claims: 4/03/2013
Medical Exam: 5/02/2013
MEB: 5/22/2013
Informal PEB: 5/29/2013
VA Ratings: 12/06/2013
Received 199: 12/18/2013

Today I sign my 199! It was an interesting coincidence as well. As SOON as I clicked the confirmation email for registration for the forums my PEBLO called. I chuckled quite a bit, said a prayer of thanks to God, and rushed to my PEBLO's office. This process has been arduous at best. Without going too far into detail about my specific claim my ratings are as follows: DOD - 70% and VA - 80%. There is hope for those who hold fast to the mast!

VA had 16 days(paid) off in October. I think they should have to work everyday except Christmas and New Years. HA I am evil.

Awesome today is day 90 at the VA rating I'm still in pending decision Approval (since 12/11/2013) I still have time to wait but I know i'm closer to the end than the beginning. I turned in everything to CIF today and I have a 0$ balance, which should make clearing when the time comes that much easier. SSI was denied because I have to many assets lol what a joke oh well god is good. I do have a question for anyone who knows. Once the 199 is created is that when the date for retirement is? I mean it kinda doesn't make sense to me because lets say it takes 20-30 days to get the orders, than 10 days or so to clear and you have 67 days of leave including PTDY. Do you just have to eat the days and sell them? Any knowledge on the subject are welcomed.

Once you sign your 199 you will come down on TRANSPOC 1-2 weeks maybe shorter, you will then have about 90 days or so to be separated/retired from the military.

You get 12 days to clear( add in separation/retirement briefs, s\and since you already have CIF good to go all you need is a signature when you clear) and then you add in the leave days you have and also the 20 ptdy. Since you have 67 leave days plus the 20 ptdy plus the leave days you accrue while on terminal leave its possible that you have to sell some back

Checked my ebenefits yesterday after not looking at it for a few. When I checked it still said "gathering of evidence" but down in the "what we still need from others" it said, "requested separation documents". I called my MSC this morning and she told me the proposed ratings were sent to the PEB. I was off ebenefits for a few days, so I dont know if the claim status jumped around at all during the time and then went back to "gathering of evidence", but I should have a 199 here probably next week.

Usually it means that your preliminary VA ratings are done and now they are on their way back to the PEB to get your 199 produced.

I am in the same stage as you. On 12/16 my eBenefits said pending decision approval and on 12/17 it said requesting separation paperwork so I went to my MSC and he told me that the ratings are done and on their way back to the PEB.

It might take longer now since the holidays are coming up...

Well after 158 days at the va and 2 months at preparation for decision, my status has finally moved to pending decision approval. Here's to hoping my ratings are on their way soon.

I check my eBenefits at least twice a day!

Mine went from gathering evidence to pending decision approval in one weekend. On monday it said pending decision approval. And by Tuesday morning it went back to gathering evidence with a comment requesting seperation evidence.

I went to my MSC and he said that means my ratings were done.

Now I am waiting to hear from my PEBLO.

It's like playing the lottery with anyone telling you ahead of time, they don't want to be the target at anger if thing don't go your way. You may get lucky on the VA hotline and get someone to tell you.
