I called my Peblo, they told me not to worry about not having an open case on the IDES dashboard. Kept trying to explain thatat least there would be something to look at.
The answer I get back was the dashboard is a big headache.

It depends (Typical Army answer). For me it went to pending then requested separation documents the same day. I would just say that as long as the packet looks good, you are pretty close.
My case has been pending decision approval for 2 weeks now. I have the typical Army "hurry up and wait" going on.
According to my Ebenefits, I have been pending decision approval since the 1st of November. Called my PEBLO and confirmed, she cannot give me any estimate of the length of time until completion, said it could be between a week and two months, all depends.
This seems to be a common occurrence, unfortunately. I have the same issue. VA and DAV says my proposed were done on 3 AUG, PEBLO says that they sent a request for ratings on 5 AUG. I am at a loss...I don't know. I'm just going to leave it alone for a few weeks to relieve stress and pick it back up. Right now, I am focusing on my exit plan. There is no telling with this system!

I am wondering if proposed ratings and preliminary ratings are the same thing.
VA has also told me that my proposed ratings were done in AUG. Does the PEB offer the proposed ratings to VA for DOD Unfit Conditions and call it proposed ratings and then VA still rates everything? These proposed ratings are coming from somewhere. Not to be a silly question at all; I know that VA rates everything and DOD uses those ratings. But, I have seen several instances where proposed ratings were supposedly done. My suggestion is this: When talking to VA, ask if the phone person if he/she can see the ratings in your packet. They might not tell you your ratings but they can say whether they can see them. My proposed ratings were supposedly done in AUG, but the nice lady couldn't find them. There was also a request from VA to the PEB for more information. The lady couldn't find the actual request or the reply. I am also missing 29 days on the IDES dashboard that I cannot get an answer for.
I put in an IRIS but have had no response.
I have done a feedback message on the IDES Dashboard also and have gotten no response.
I have emailed my MSC and have gotten no response.
Last I talked to my PEBLO, he said, "I'll call you when the ratings come in, calling me will only get you the same answers,
we can't do anything until it all comes back from the PEB. I check the system 6-7- times a day. I'll call you and you can
hear the printer printing your packet. Don't call me, I'll call you."
I have an appointment with DAV Rep next Tuesday.

What I don't understand is how some people are

The lack of information is irritating me. I keep getting the just be patient answer. Its over 120 days now since my unfit memo. Something should be happening.
its the military....its a hurry up and wait game...DONT go on to eBenefits..dont expect ANYTHING from that site...it doesnt mean ANYTHING....that site is HORRIBLE!..all it will do is get your hopes and dreams up...go about your job till the PEBLO calls..or just go bug them once a week...
Unfortunately, you are right. BUT, that should not be the way it is nor, should anyone accept this as right.
Consistantly, the lack of communication seems to be an issue.

Finally some movement! I'll update my timeline once I get back from leave!
Settle down, the military is telling Service Members to watch the site. Ebennies is a great and useful tool only IF the VA updates it like they are supposed to. Just like the Army's MyMEB/PEB webpage, since PEBLOs don't like it, they don't update it, so in effect it is a useless tool.
There are many things on there that many do not know they can do like changing the Montgomery Bill to the Post 9/11 Bill, find forms for the Vocational Rehabilitation program and other useful VA forms.
Next time, be polite, educate yourself on the system. You are going to have one hell of a time with the VA because it IS a system, and you will lash out at the people who are already disgruntled and feel unappreciated. In the future I suggest you ignore postings about E-benefits and filter your anger in a better manner.
You need to calm down. Pointing your anger at us is not the appropriate response.
We are here to support each other and help each other.
Ebenefits DOES matter, but go ahead and think otherwise. There are a lot of beneficial tools located there.
It also matters in your claim, it will help give a better estimation by watching it.
Believe this or not, the military is waiting on the VA. So tracking you claim only makes sense.
Most of us realize that we are only working on guestimates.
But, whatever, go ahead yell at us, it doesnt matter, we arent humans in the military, right?
Ebenefits changed so i called my DAV rep. He said my ratings were done and sent back to peb. 40% DoD 80% VA.
CONGRATS! I hope that is what you were expecting!?
