Will I make it?

I'm currently 3 months shy of 20 yrs. After much discussion, my PCM decided to refer me to the DAWG. Of course nothing has started yet, so I'm not officially going through a MEB. But I do have over 40 days of leave. With that being said, do you think I can make it to 20 yrs? The way I'm calculating things, they would have to have me done with everything in 54 days before my leave would kick in and get me over the 20 yr mark. Do you think it could happen that fast?

Can any Air Force person provide me with your current time line?

No way it will happen that fast! You'll be just fine

KatJack43, every case is different. I am Air National Guard, so the same process for Air Force. When I spoke with my MSC (VA Rep for the LOD IDES) they indicated that once they are involved it takes 3 to 5 months. So, I think you will be fine as to the timeline. Always variables in a bureaucratic system. Best of Luck

If you were Air National Guard from what I am experiencing it would be at least a year and chances are more.
