What to expect

I was just told that I'm going through an IRILO for Major Depressive disorder because I've been on a profile for more that 365 days. I've been hospitalized for mental health 3 different times totaling 3 months. I told my PCM and commander I'm able to do my job because I really wanted to stay in but it's not the case anymore and I'm embarrassed to go back on my word. I'm pretty sure the NARSUM has already been written and submitted.

I'm at the point where it's not worth it to stay in the military if I have to battle my severe depression alone. My current MH provider knows I'm unable to work at the moment and hasn't submitted the NARSUM yet. I am super nervous about them finding it unnecessary to go through a full MEB. What can I expect from here on out?

Your commander letter will be a big factor in the decision to keep you in or not. I feel its best to communicate with them ASAP about the issues or risk them giving you an inaccurate report which could hurt your chances of getting out.

If speaking to my commander is the only way to fix this situation, I'll go ahead and speak to them about it. Thank you.
