After review, this member requires a full Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) for a retention decision by the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB). Ensure that all appropriate consultant notes are included and the NARSUM presents a full and complete summary of the member's health. All appropriate specialty evaluation notes should be included with the MEB submission to the IPEB. Forward the completed MEB to HQ/DPFD (Disabilities) NLT 11 Jun 2023. The requested information should reflect the member is in the Disability Evaluation System (DES) and the Assignment Availability Code 37 must remain in place until DES processing is complete.
Please do a full MEB as noted above. You have two months to get the case to the IPEB, to accommodate VA routing as part of the IDES process. Please start the case now so that it gets to the IPEB by the suspense. Ensure that the submitted AF 618 accurately reflects all potentially unfitting conditions and that each has been appropriately documented.
Once the C&P exams are completed and results are given to the PEBLO, do I go through a local board and IPEB? I was told by my MSC that my results are at the reviewer and once completed they go to the ratings department and that takes 45-60 days. I am just trying to see if the ratings are the only thing I am waiting on or if I have these other boards that I still have to go through?
