It stands for permissive TDY. It is leave that is not charged. I am OCONUS, so I get 30 days. I’m not sure if people who are conus would get less. But you are able to take it in conjunction with your terminal leave.Can you explain how ptdy works? I’m not sure what that is.

Do you still get paid as you do on regular leave?CONUS PTDY is 20 days max. It’s for housing and job hunting. Most just tack it on to their terminal leave. Some spread it out here and there.
