Was wondering if I have already been found "unfit"?

Was wondering if someone could give me some insight into a PEB I am currently going thorugh. I spoke with a PEBLO yesterday and was informed that my package was completed with the VA portion and on it's way back to the PEB and I should be contacted with the finding NLT Aug 18th. My medical board package was signed off and sent on Jun 12th. I am assuming the PEB has found me "unfit", the VA has done their portion and now the PEB is putting their finishing touches on it. Does this makes sense?
If it was sent to the VA does that mean I was found "unfit"?

I am in the same situation, and this is what I did:

Checked EBen saw that the VA wanted more info on an issue. I called the VA, but they woun't release the specifics until I received the info. I then went to a veteran's assistance group, gave them my power of attorney, and they pulled up the info and let me know where I stood (current proposals for the PEB / VA) as well as the issues that the VA wants to get more info.

I think that the VA and DOD have an agreement not to release any info until they both agree to the info that either provides. The above is one work-around.

I assume if VA has gotten it you were deemed unfit. Because if PEB deemed you fit then it would not go to VA you would be notified for return to duty under limited conditions, i.e. a profile.

On the Ebenefits website it say's "Pending Decision Approval", but like I stated the PEBLO told me is what done at the VA and back at the PEB. Don't understand? This process has not been a very informative one and at times confusing, stressful.

On my EBen acct it just says "Pending Decision Approval". Didn't see anything about them wanting more info.

I thought that under IDES your package went to the VA and the PEB at the same time. Then VA rates you, sends that info over to the PEB, and at that time the PEB decides if you are fit/unfit & your disability percentage. Thats how my PEBLO explained it to me. Is that not right?

From what I understand it goes to the PEB first, if they find you unfit than it goes to the VA. Of they find you fit there is no reason for it to go to the VA. Of unfit and after it goes through the VA than it goes back to The PEB. That is the way I understand it to work.

Exactly 0313, the DoD has to find you unfit before the VA can rate, you can't expect to get VA benefits while in the service LOL!!!! That would be illegal as all hell!
