I always thought one of the best things you could do was start out at a community college, where classes are amazingly affordable, then transfer to a state college or university. It seems to offset the cost significantly.
With that being said, the G.I. Bill still wouldn't fully cover the cost of any kind of degree program at any of the colleges I've looked at, and I'm not talking Harvard. You would pretty much be screwed if you found out you really weren't interested in the degree you thought you were and tried to change it halfway through.
I can't wait to see if the new proposal they have presented for the G.I. Bill gets passed.
