Like most everyone on this forum I am currently going through the wonderful MEB/PEB process. I am active duty Army at Ft Campbell with about 10 years of service. I was referred to MEB on 09SEPT2013 and recieved my unfit memo on 08NOV2013. I was found unfit for "Chronic Venous Insufficency, Left Leg" due to a great amount of problems caused by a blood clot I devloped after being injured on deployment in 2011. I met with the legal support team here at Campbell for guidence and possible information on the ratings for this condition. I was told they couldnt give me any info as far as how the military/VA will rate me because there is no exact code for my condition. The individual I spoke with was honest enough to tell me I was the first solider she had assisted in this process with my conditition and she wasnt too familiar with it. Does anyone have any further information about how this condition is rated or does any one have the same type unfitting condition? Any help is greatly appreacted.

What the VA will use is a blanket rating for a cardio issue (from what I gather is the probem of your leg) it is easier to use the ECFR than the VASRD because they explain how they do the rating process the direct link here: http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?c=ecfr&rgn=div5&view=text&node=38:1.0.1.1.5&idno=38
