VARR vs Formal Board

I just got my ratings back, and they are problematic. I have tried to figure this out on my own, but I am turning to better minds then mine:)

I am asking for the one-time VA reconsideration on my unfit conditions. If this come back changed, does the PEB also use it then to change my retirement percentage, or do I have to go to the formal board for that.
The informal was 60% permanent DOD and 90% VA - if it comes back 100% DOD (which we are arguing for) will the PEB automatically refigure the retirement (to 75% max), or do I have to do both steps?

If the reconsideration changes the VA rating for any unfitting conditions, it will change the PEB ratings as well.
 
Thanks - I was thinking that was the case, but convinced myself otherwise.
