I am currently rated 80% by the VA. I constantly fall asleep at work, not on purpose, and I can't seem to remember things and my mind is never fresh. I have severe sleep apnea, and panic disorder where i take Klonopin that makes me sleepy. I have a good paying job, 70,000 a year with the government but i simply cannot function properly. Should I even apply for UI?

Should I even apply for UI?

If you qualify, why not?

If your unemployable, the VA has special compensation/training for that, I believe.

I would suggest applying for FERS Disability Retirement from your government job, and if granted, apply for VA IU.

Also to qualify for IU, you can't be working when you apply for it. Asmentioned above I would apply for disability retirment from your job, then go from there.
